Menendez Accuses Cruz of 'Obamaphobia' for Opposing Amnesty
Sen. Bob Menendez (D-NJ) accused Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) on Tuesday of being afflicted with “Obamaphobia” for opposing a pathway to citizenship for illegal immigrants, the left-leaning Talking Points Memo reports.
“Well, I think he has Obamaphobia,” Menendez said of Cruz on MSNBC. “The reality is that it is the Gang of Eight that came together — four Democrats, four Republicans — and said that we need a path to citizenship.”
Menendez’s comments were in response to Cruz saying on Monday that he thinks President Barack Obama is the “biggest obstacle” to real immigration reform rather than the “Gang of Eight” immigration bill.
“The biggest obstacle to passing common sense immigration reform is President Barack Obama,” Cruz said on Monday. “A path to citizenship is the most divisive aspect of this bill and the White House is insisting on it.”
A spokesperson for Cruz did not immediately return Breitbart News' request for comment in response to Menendez's accusations.

This thread is from 2013 and has been discussed at length. Cruz has since changed his position. What are you hoping to accomplish by bringing it up now? Just curious.
It shows the evolution of the candidates as the election grows closer. I personally think that Cruz has evolved while Rubio is obscuring.
