YES VOTE was to shut the debate off and vote on the bill itself...not good!

NO VOTE was to continue debating the amendments and "fix" flaws in the underlying bill...

37 Repubs voted NO
15 Dems voted NO
1 Independent voted NO

18 senators changed their earlier YES vote to a NO vote today!
None changed their mind the other way...

Those who voted NO on cloture are the good guys who we should be thanking! (e.g., DeMint, Sessions, Vitter etc.)

And a general rule of thumb is that the OPPOSITE of what Kennedy votes for is a good vote (e.g., Kennedy voted yes on cloture and for amnesty on S.1639).

Ode To Amnesty’s Defeat:



Obfuscation and duplicity are their tools,

Assuming that we are fools.
