Thompson as president? Maybe not a good idea.

Thompson's voting record on H-1B speaks for itself. Americans for Better
Immigration gave him a grade of F. Here are just a few reasons Thompson
    earned a failing grade:

1998: Voted for S.1723, nearly doubling hi-tech visas

1998: Voted against protecting American workers by putting safeguards into
    the H-1B law.

1998: S.1723, Voted to allow American workers to be fired and replaced with
    a foreign worker.

1996: Voted in committee for the Abraham amendment to S.1664. The Abraham
amendment to S.1664 stripped all legal reforms from the bill. This vote
shows how closely tied Thompson and Abraham are.

2000: Voted for S.2045, a foreign worker bill with no worker protections.
Sen. Thompson voted for the Abraham foreign worker bill to nearly triple
the number of foreign high-tech workers. This is another crucial piece of
    evidence to their close ties.

The mainstream media predictably thinks that Fred Thompson made a good
choice, but of course that's because Abraham has been one of their darlings
for a very long time. Abraham has never hesitated to play up his Lebanese
ancestry to get the sympathies of the media, and of course they love him
    because he wants open borders.

The following statement from "The Atlantic" is quite funny considering that
Abraham couldn't even win his re-election bid in Michigan. As a strategist
Abraham has a proven record of failure -- a detail that the mainstream
media chooses to ignore and Thompson is willing to overlook.

The role of ex-Sen. Spencer Abraham is unclear, but integrating him
into the campaign will help. He is one of the party's best
practitioner-strategists and has experience running campaigns
    nationwide.

I've been saying all along that Freddie had never seen an immigration bill he didn't like!

Earlier this year he said these "folks need to come out of the shadows." Now you can't get him to really talk about illegals. Sure, he talks about securing the border. He is really DOING A SNOW JOB ON PEOPLE.

And being a member of the U.S. Council on Foreign Relations, the U.S. arm of the NAU? He said 2 days ago, that he liked being in intelletual discussion groups. No further explanation!

Sorry Freddie.......you don't get my vote.

He is 'one of the boys'.

We do not need more of his kind up there. We really, really don't.

He is also a member of the CFR. The CFR is pushing the NAU and SPP.

Every presidential candidate since 1952, with exception of Reagan was a CFR member but he filled many positions with CFR people. Some of this info may need to be updated.

Of the 18 Secretaries of the Treasury from 1921-1985 have been CFR members

Another 12 of the 16 Secretaries of State have been CFR in the same time period

Department of Defense, from 1947-1985, has had 9 of 15 being CFR members

The CIA has had 7 Directors who were CFR, you can add another
Six of the seven Superintendents of West Point were CFR

Every single Supreme Allied Commander in Europe and every U.S.

Ambassador to NATO have been members of the CFR

The following key leadership posts in any Presidential Administration have usually been filled by CFR men, both in Democrat and Republican Administrations.

    National Security Advisor
    Secretary of State
    Secretary of Defense
    Secretary of the Treasury

CFR membership alone would not discount a candidate as far as I'm concerned. John F Kennedy and Dwight Eishenhower were CFR and I think they both were great men, along with many others. It's better to have an ally within a liberal organization. If someone is plotting against me, I like to be on the inside to know what's going on.
