Throw roses at the feet of Sen. Bernie Sanders

Sen Sanders of Vermont has just delivered a brilliant speech on the floor of the Senate. We need to to blitz him with thanks and support just as aggesively as we have spat on our opponents.

Just goes to show, that whether you're a:

Republican from AL (eg. Sessions) or a
Democrat from ND (eg. Dorgan) or an
    Independent from VT (eg. Sanders)...etc.

Labels and party affiliation don't mean that much.

    What matters is:
Mr/Ms Senator - are you doing the right thing for the right reason?

I agree his speech in support of the American worker was excellent, however, he has been part of the problem in the past. Sorry, I just can't get very excited by a speech covering one specific issue, not when a lot of the things he's done in the past have contributed to the problem he's speaking about. IMHO, is talking the talk, but he hasn't walked the walk - he's not consistent.

I'll admit his voting on S.1348 has confused me a little, but than again perhaps he's tired of his constituents jumping down his nickers on the border security and illegal immigrant issue.

MW - yes, I agree, you make a good point.

I guess I'd just say that if we keep up some positive pressure and feedback, he may do the right thing in the end even if he hasn't sided with us on every aspect of the legislation or it's progress. If he has one good solid reason not to go for this bill - and stick to it - that's all we need...
