Tomi Lahren Slams Dems Over Census Standoff: They're Worried About Losing Power

    March 29, 2018

    (video at the source link)

Simple question: Why would the Democrats not want you to know how many illegals are living in this country? Hmm.

    It’s time for Final Thoughts.

The left is outraged over the Trump administration’s decision to include a citizenship question on the 2020 census. Actually, they're outraged over nearly everything our president does. But this is silly, even for them.

So what flimsy reason did they give this time? They claim illegals will be deterred from participating in the headcount if asked about their immigration status. Democrats say the question is racist, bigoted, and claim it's intolerant to ask about immigration status.

But that’s not why this really bothers them. Oh, no.

    So what's the real reason?

Well, the census provides data that guides how hundreds of billions of federal program dollars are distributed. It also determines how many seats each state has in the House of Representatives - and with that, the Electoral College votes for each state.

So yep, you guessed it: They're worried about votes, elections, and losing power where they have it.

Look, we get it Democrats: You gleefully allow your cities to be overrun by illegal immigrants. But people who are by law not allowed to vote should not be given any representation in Congress. Heck, they shouldn’t even be here in the first place.

Take California for example - the poster state for this sanctuary insanity. The not-so Golden state has decided to roll out the red carpet for illegals - giving them rights, benefits, and protection from the law - making the state a haven for some 2.5 million illegals - about six percent of California’s population.

Think that doesn’t burden the state? Think they don’t receive money from you - the legal American taxpayer? Think again.

A survey of income and program participation showed 62 percent of households headed by illegal immigrants are receiving some type of federal assistance. That’s more than twice the percentage for households headed by native-born Americans, according to the study.

How do they get away with it? Many work the system through their American-born children. And not only are the Democrats okay with that; they want to maximize their gains by making sure as many illegal immigrants participate in the census as possible. The more people counted, the more seats in Congress.

Illegals should not determine representation or federal funding. And sorry, Democrats, the American people deserve to know who is in this country and who we're paying for. And if that upsets your voting bloc, well, that's just too dang bad!

Those are my Final Thoughts. From LA, God bless and take care.
