Now that Trump has hired Miller away from Sen. Sessions, I don't think we'll hear anymore about deporting every single illegal within a two year period. It was an unattainable goal and Trump's new adviser Miller probably informed him of that fact.

Trump's proposal to give all the good illegals an expedited return and to set up a merit-based system for illegals to stay is being ignored by the media. To my knowledge, Trump has not walked back either proposal.

Yes, many will self-deport if you make their life here in the U.S. absolutely miserable. The reason many of them are here is because the failure to full enforce our immigration laws have given them opportunity without consequence.

Trump doesn't need to walk it back, because there's no legal mechanism in place to do it and he doesn't call for any new legislation to do it.

He would certainly be wise to heed his advice and a fool not to.

Trump wants to deport illegal aliens and Trump Supporters want illegal aliens deported. Hell, even flippy-floppy Cruz now says he wants illegal aliens hunted down, rounded up and deported by ICE.

What is Trump saying that makes you believe that he would allow illegal aliens to return to the US after deportation? Isn't the whole point of deportation and policing the border against illegals to keep them out? The question you are posing doesn't seem to make sense.

I'm not even going to justify those ludicrous questions with a response.

"Self deportation" is a kind of amnesty. Furthermore, it is a corruption of border control. Border control means controlling traffic accross our borders in both directions, both coming in and going out. The better part of illegal immigration is the ability of illegals to come and go as they please. If we encourage them to go as they please, then this also encourges them to come as they please.


As a part of an anti-illegal amnesty, we should police exits by providing transportation to illegals who turn themselves in. There may be illegals who feel stuck here and would be happy to leave if they had the means to do so. They would be immune from prosecution, but only as long as they agreed to not contest prosecution the next time they were found in the US. And also they would be permanently excluded from eligibility to travel to the US for any reason.


Exit Visas for people in the US on Visas would be a similar thing to enforce. The terrorists behind 9/11 were in the country on expired student Visas.
