Fox News parts ways with Dick Morris

Morris predicted a "landslide" victory for Romney. (Fox News)

Less than two weeks after Fox News announced its decision not to renew the contract for former Alaskan Gov. Sarah Palin, the network has decided to part ways with paid conservative pundit Dick Morris, too.

A spokeswoman for Fox News confirmed that Morris' contract was up recently and the News Corp.-owned network would not be renewing it. He had been a contributor to Fox News since 1998.

Morris, who predicted a "landslide" victory for Mitt Romney during the 2012 presidential election, was ridiculed by in the wake of President Obama's decisive victory on Nov. 6.

"I've got egg on my face," Morris wrote on FoxNews.com. "The key reason for my bum prediction is that I mistakenly believed that the 2008 surge in black, Latino, and young voter turnout would recede in 2012 to 'normal' levels. Didn’t happen."

"How badly does this hurt your franchise?" Bill O'Reilly asked Morris the day after the election. "How badly does it hurt?"

In December, New York magazine reported Morris and fellow Fox political analyst Karl Rove--who initially refused to accept Obama's win on the air even after Fox News projected the president's reelection--had been benched by the network. Rove has since returned to the air, but according Media Matters, Morris has not appeared on Fox News since Nov. 12.

But Morris isn't done with his cable news career entirely. On Wednesday, he's scheduled to appear on CNN as a guest on Piers Morgan's primetime show.

According to the New York Times, Palin had been renegotiating her original contract--reportedly worth $1 million a year--before talks dissolved last month.

    OK,
Apachesknow has not been scalped yet. Still in the fight underground inside the beast.
All here know how to sing, so apachesknow is out teaching tone, pitch, delivery to others.

Now that Lick Morris is gone, next needing a pink slip for his liberal (commie) leanings is Karl (wrong way) Rove.

The Two Party Evil Money Cult in Washington D.C. is now in fear of its life.
They spent the U.S. into debt of current account of $15 Trillion, with another $10 Trillion coming on line to be paid soon.
So they know their over spending for the last 50 years will come to roost on top of their 5,000 sq ft homes .
Fear no,,,, panic now holds them in its grip.
They lust for these new tax payer/slaves, wage/slaves, vote slaves to keep them from the final judgement of our jury.

The judgement will come, the guilty are known, the crimes known, they will recive what they deserve.

apachesknow how this ends if you do not fight long and hard

These ones in D.C. are the "scouts" from our tribe who lead these others to our camps, and they come in the night while many of our warriors are in fights in Iraq, Afganistian, or gurading the borders of S. Korea.

    Fight

    Plan for immigration reform

By Dick Morris - 11/13/12 06:23 PM ET

Democrats want illegal immigrants to vote, because they are likely to be supporters, but not to work, because of union sensibilities. Republicans, on the other hand, want them to work — in agribusinesses and the like, often owned by their fellow partisans — but not to vote.
So the key to a Republican approach to immigration reform is to split off working from voting.

Fortunately, millions of Mexicans, Central Americans and people from the Caribbean come to America looking for work, not for the right to vote. Political rights concern them little. Economic ambition is the motivation behind their migration. Republicans can gratify their economic aspirations more easily than can Democrats, and can do so without giving them the political power Republicans fear.
    Here’s the deal
    1. Create a guest-worker program to fill the many needs of our economy that are not being, and likely cannot be, filled by our countrymen. Talk to any California farmer and he’ll tell you that he couldn’t harvest his crops without migrant labor. Many service businesses tell the same story. Canada has a guest-worker program that brings 150,000 people every year to Canadian farms at harvest time and returns them back home afterward.
Congress should give each of these guest workers a green card, entitling them to stay in this country as long as they were needed for work but conferring on them no pathway to citizenship or voting. Those already here illegally should be given legal status — amnesty — but for economic purposes only. Those who want to become U.S. citizens would have to go back home and go to the back of the line.
All guest workers should be paid at least the minimum wage and be required to pay taxes on their income.
If any guest worker is convicted of a crime, he or she should lose guest-worker status and be deported.
We should give priority to those already here as guest workers so that companies will not have to hire and train an entirely new labor force but can use their current illegal workers, newly made legal.
    2. Employee verification must be universal and vigorously enforced. With legal jobs awaiting the migrants, there is no reason to let a black market in illegal employment flourish.
    3. With the guest-worker program and E-verify must come strong penalties for any employer who hires illegal workers who are not part of the guest-worker program.
    4. Border enforcement — including the wall — should be aggressive and include the use of National Guard units.
    5. No benefits, other than guest-worker status, should be conferred on anyone who entered the country illegally, as adults or as children. They should be allowed to stay and to work, but not to join a citizenship track.
Some will argue that even a work-related amnesty program will encourage others to come here illegally. Why should it? If there is a risk-free, totally safe and legal way to come to the United States as a guest worker, what is the incentive to climb walls, swim rivers and evade the Border Patrol?
Conservatives must abandon their knee-jerk aversion to “rewarding” illegal behavior in any form. It is in both our national and our party’s interest to grant legal guest-worker status to those who are already here.
Such a position will defuse the immigration issue and confound the Democrats. They now blithely lump citizenship with legal work status. By separating economic status from political rights, we expose this facade and expose the Democrats for what they are: hypocrites who want Latino votes and could care less about their economic condition.

Fox Contributors Who Weren't Purged: Resident Birther And Resident Truther

Blog››› 5 hours and 53 minutes ago ››› MATT GERTZ

Fox News recently parted ways with two of the network's most high profile contributors, Sarah Palin and Dick Morris, in a reported effort to "purge some of its more controversial characters."

In prior years, Fox drew criticism for its employment of birther Eric Bolling and 9-11 conspiracy theorist Andrew Napolitano, both of whom the network still employs.

On the April 2011 evening after President Obama released his long-form birth certificate, Bolling claimed on his Fox Business program "that there is a legitimate question as to whether or not the president of the United States is allowed to be president of the United States" and said that the document had "been altered." In a subsequent segment featuring a large-scale blow-up of Obama's long-form birth certificate, he said that the document had "a green border that had to be Photoshopped in."

In November 2010, Napolitano appeared on the radio show of leading conspiracist Alex Jones and said that it's "hard for me to believe that" World Trade Center Building 7 "came down by itself" -- a central tenet of 9-11 conspiracy theories -- and claimed that "twenty years from now, people will look at 9-11 the way we look at the assassination of JFK today. It couldn't possibly have been done the way the government told us." Despite criticism from liberals and conservatives, Fox News gave Napolitano a pass.

In February 2012, Fox Business canceled Napolitano's Freedom Watch and Bolling's Follow the Money in a primetime shakeup that didn't appear related to any single remark (Fox suggested that they wanted programs that focused more on business news). Bolling is now the co-host of The Five (where little about Bolling has changed), and was recently made the host of the weekend show Cashin' In. Napolitano continues to appear frequently across Fox's lineup as its "senior judicial analyst."
