Urgent: Tell N.J. State Senators to Oppose Amnesty Resolution
SR95, a resolution urging Congress to pass legislation that allows illegal aliens to become citizens, will get a vote in the Senate State Government, Wagering, Tourism & Historic Preservation Committee on Monday, March 11th. Please call the members of that committee and urge a NO vote on SR95. Also weigh in with your State Senator since the resolution will likely pass committee.
Contacting the Senate State Government Committee
Please contact the listed committee members, at either of the given numbers, with the message below. If you are a constituent, be sure to mention it.
"I'd like to leave a message for Senator ________. Please vote NO on SR95, the resolution urging Congress to give illegal immigrants amnesty.
442,000 New Jersey can't find jobs while, according to the Pew Hispanic Center, over 550,000 illegal immigrants live and work in New Jersey. Amnesty will let them keep their jobs.
Illegal immigrants work in construction, landscaping, restaurants and other vocations that legal workers need. In fact, union leader Rich Tolson of the N.J. International Bricklayers and Allied Craftsmen said his members remain unemployed because companies can hire illegal immigrants at $8.00 an hour!
Don't sell out New Jersey citizens struggling to make ends meet. Vote NO on SR95."
