Not sure of those stats.. I don't think the number was that high, though the top figures for immigrants LEGALLY immigrating was approx 500,000/year, though the USA finally had to shut down MASS immigration in 1924.

Right now, there's approx 1.2 MILLION LEGAL immigrants coming to this country, about *HALF* are 'loopholed' in, due to H!B visa FRAUD. Don't believe me? Take a look at this link, spread it around..

Illegal MIGRANTS are 3-4 times this toll..

Just remember there's ZERO comparison between IMMIGRANTS immigrating...

    .. and MIGRANTS illegally entering..

    Nice day all.. Rob

No need for ‘mass roundups’, simply ENFORCE EXISTING law*& MANDATE the worker ID, ..but SEVEN amnesties? Hmm, WHO cried wolf?!

Ellis Island would see a new immigrant entering the United States. Old immigrants that came prior to 1890 were mostly from northern and western Europe. However, the immigrants entering the United States after 1890 were from the Eastern and Southern parts of Europe. The newer immigrants were not accepted as easily for cultural reasons as well as physical reasons.
