VETERANS MARCH ON WASHINGTON, D.C. October 13th, 2013

    VETMARCH.COM
    October 13th, 2013

    Why March?

I want you to circle the date of Sunday, October 13, 2013.

And then I want you to help “circle the wagons” on that day to help protect and defend our brave veterans who risked their lives for our freedom – and now are being barred from visiting the memorials erected to honor their deeds.

In a mean-spirited fit of selfish anger, Barack Obama has shut down our nation’s war memorials. And he has declared open war on our honored veterans!

The World War II memorial … the Vietnam Veterans Memorial … the Korean War Veterans Memorial – Obama has shut them all down to force his will on the House of Representatives and frankly, to get revenge on the American people who oppose Obamacare and his other naked power grabs.

Let’s put it plainly: Barack Obama is behaving like a vicious tyrant. And if he succeeds in this assault on the democratic system, the Republic we love is at mortal risk. It’s just that simple.

That’s why I am asking you now to take two decisive moves to show Barack Obama, Harry Reid, Nancy Pelosi – and all of their oppressive ilk in Washington – that “We the People” are still in charge. And we won’t rest until we take back our memorials and monuments!

    1. First, I would like you to Sign the Petition to sign our petition to re-open the war memorials.

Once your name is on that important petition, it will be delivered to every member of the Senate and the House and we will even put it on the White House website!

    2. Block out the date of October 13, 2013 9:00 am – and then join with the million other patriotic Americans who are determined to unblock our nation’s war memorials.

I’ll be there –along with veterans who are determined to once again fight for freedom – this time on our own Mall!
    Honored Guests & Speakers

In August 2009, Amy joined the Tea Party Express bus tour and traveled across the country. Shortly before the second Tea Party Express tour, Amy left Tea Party Patriots and joined the Tea Party Express PAC as director of grassroots and coalitions. Amy is now chairman of the Tea Party Express and has four successful nationwide bus tours under her belt.

    Diana Nagy, Singer

Diana has been wowing audiences for years. When she was just 7 years old, she won first place singing in a talent contest. Her heartfelt, soaring vocals have been moving and inspiring audiences since that day. Diana even had the honor of singing for Pope John Paul II.

“I grew up singing. I remember Sunday dinners at my Grandparents house as a little girl. The family gathered around the piano, my Grandfather on accordion, singing songs in melodic harmony. Singing was always a part our lives. I can still hear the laughter, and feel the love from those days. Little did I know then, those were some of the best days of my life. Those are my roots…… music, love, laughter!”

    Jay Michael Devereaux

In a brave act of Civil Disobedience, this patriot cut the wires of the WWII barricades.

Jay Devereaux is an Information Technology Consultant and small business owner that like so many of us, did not really pay a lot of attention to what was going on in Washington DC until ideas like Cap & Trade and T.A.R.P. The idea of the Federal Government bailing out bankers and Wall Street firms with taxpayer dollars was the last straw. Followed closely by the first stimulus package, Jay like so many was yelling at his television similar to Rick Santelli’s now famous rant, when his family cried “ENOUGH! Do something about it or shut up!”

Jay was asked to join Unite In Action in late 2009. Since then Jay with Unite In Action has been in a battle with the IRS over their application as a 501(c)(4) and through the American Center for Law & Justice (ACLJ) filed the largest lawsuit in agency history against the IRS, the single most feared agency in America. The Battle continues. 1218 days and counting.

    Must watch video!

Rally at World War II Memorial Heads to White House

    Video at the Page Link:

The protest at the WWII memorial is on the move.

News cameras located on the White House lawn are showing a large gathering of people outside the gates and fence at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue.
It is believed these are protesters who started at the World War II Memorial early Saturday and moved from that location to the White House. According to NBC News, the president is in the White House.

Video shows people carrying barricades, presumably from the WW II memorial, to the White House fence. The DC Police Department said via Twitter that they are on the scene with the Secret Service and the U.S. Park Police.

Members of the Million Vet March were planning on gathering at the World War II Memorial on Sunday despite the memorial being closed due to the government shutdown, but that protest has taken a more political tone

According to a statement on the group’s website, they feel military personnel and veterans are “being used a political pawns in the ongoing government shutdown and budget crisis.” Organizers say they are not a political leaning group, but call the shutting down of memorials “a despicable act of cowardice.”

However, conservative political commentator Sarah Palin and Senator Ted Cruz (R-TX) arrived and spoke to the people gathered at the memorial.

News 4's Derrick Ward reported some truckers who have attempted to slow beltway traffic as a protest measure made their way down to the Tidal Basin area. Police have blocked off roads in an attempt to keep streets clear.

    America, hell yes.

As Twitchy reported, citizens attending the Million Vets March in Washington, D.C., Sunday tore down Barrycades at several memorials. The crowd then picked up the Barrycades and began transporting them to the White House.
