You might have seen this week a stunning demonstration of political condescension on the health care front. In remarks at the 2010 Legislative Conference for the National Association of Counties, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi said, “But we have to pass the bill so that you can find out what is in it, away from the fog of controversy.”
This revealing comment reinforces a patriarchal (or in Pelosi’s case matriarchal) attitude Congress has taken with the American public: What lurks within the House and Senate health care bills will be revealed in the fullness of time, and it’s really good for us if we only knew better.
Ordinary Americans have had a common-sense resistance to Washington’s feverish attempt to overhaul one-sixth of the U.S. economy. But Congressional leadership has ignored the public’s concerns and instead clung to the idea that if they simply ram the bill through the legislative process — using unprecedented tactical maneuvers that may not even pass the parliamentarian’s smell test—Americans will finally understand and embrace ObamaCare.
When it’s law, then Americans can finally grasp the “goodness” of what’s in the 2,700-plus-page Senate bill, which is the most likely legislative vehicle that Congress will push to President Barack Obama’s desk. The problem for Pelosi and congressional Democrats is that Americans have been reading these bills, and they don’t like what they’re reading.
The more the public learns about the taxes, individual mandates, taxpayer-funded abortion coverage, and the potential breakdown of the private health insurance market, the less jazzed they are about ObamaCare. But politicians have blithely waved away little details like reading the actual bill and instead said “trust us”—at a time when public trust for Congress is at an all-time low during Obama’s presidency.
This whole dynamic helps explain why Obama and congressional leadership are insistent on another artificial deadline of March 18 for final passage of ObamaCare. They know that members of Congress, particularly those in the House, could see another wave of townhall protests when they go on a two-week recess starting March 26. That’s because the American people do know what’s in these bills. Popular discussion and debate—that “fog of controversy”—has helped to enlighten them.

House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) says the United States must look to Qatar, an ally of the terrorist group Hamas, for advice in resolving the Palestinian-Israeli conflict.

“And we have to confer with the Qataris, who have told me over and over again that Hamas is a humanitarian organization,” she told CNN’s “State of the Union” with Candy Crowley.

As CNSNews.com reported last week, Qatar is a strong supporter and funder of Hamas. Hamas leader Khaled Meshaal operates from Qatar, and has so far rejected ceasefire proposals put forward by Egypt and promoted by Secretary of State John Kerry.

House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) says the United States must look to Qatar, an ally of the terrorist group Hamas, for advice in resolving the Palestinian-Israeli conflict.

“War is a deadly thing,” Pelosi said on Sunday, speaking about the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.

“And I have many Palestinians who live in my district, and I am hearing them regularly about how their families are affected who live in the region. It’s a terrible thing. But let me just say that any missile that comes from someplace has a return address. And if Israel is responding to that address, then that’s a shame that the Palestinians are …rumored to be using children and families as shields for their missiles.”

Pelosi said the first thing to do is to “avoid conflict” that “Hamas initiated.”

“[T]his has to be something where we try to have the two-state solution, that we have to support…(Palestinian Authority chairman Mahmoud) Abbas and his role as a leader there. We have to support Iron Dome to protect the Israelis from the missiles. We have to support the Palestinians and what they need. And we have to confer with the Qataris, who have told me over and over again that Hamas is a humanitarian organization, maybe they could use their influence to –

Making excuses for Hamas attacking Israel with missiles and conducting their military operations from within civilian buildings and neighborhoods, Hillary Clinton and Nancy Pelosi go on the record.
Hillary Clinton says the practice is due to the geographically small area Hamas is forced to wage their attacks from. There was no place left but a school and a hospital, terrorists can’t be choosers. The missiles campaign must go on.
Our former Speaker of the House, Nancy Pelosi quotes her source, the Qataris, as assuring her that Hamas is not a terrorist organization. Of course, to the Qataris, there is no such thing as a terrorist organization beyond the State of Israel, so their opinion might be less than reliable. According to them, Pelosi says, Hamas is a humanitarian organization.
Even the Taliban aren’t considered by the Qataris to be terrorists, as their capacity as temporary caretakers of the Obama Gitmo Five demonstrates. For some reason, she says “we have to confer with the Qataris.” Maybe Nancy should confer with a medical professional instead and get started with her dementia treatment.
Col Ralph Peters addresses Clinton’s comments first, saying her naiveté and ignorance should disqualify her from holding any position higher than that of a small town mayor.
As to Pelosi’s comments, Col Peters reminds us that Qatar is the largest funder of terrorism in the Middle East, having displaced the Saudis. Peters says, “They play us like a bass fiddle.”
Peters talks of the modern day Nazis, the Islamic extremists competing to try to kill the most Jews and Christians, for whom he has an answer. He gives a Russian version as well which translates into “Wipe them all out.”

(CNSNews.com) - When asked at a press briefing on Thursday why her party's message is "not resonating with the electorate," House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi told a room full of reporters “we need you to be messengers.”
A reporter asked Pelosi: “So, you make this case about the skepticism that people have of this anti-government premise here. You talk about, you know, they’re riding this impeachment horse, and lawsuit horse, and all these things they are doing in the election. Why, for every political analysis that we see, and including top people in your party, don’t believe that the Democrats have a message that can get the House of Representatives back. What government shutdown--why are these things not resonating with the electorate and won’t resonate this fall?”

Pelosi responded: “Well, first of all, we need you to be messengers about what is actually going on here. But, apart from that, we have come forward with our middle-class jump start. Over the month of August, we go forward with how the jump start talks about bringing jobs home. The Republicans have tax breaks to send jobs overseas. Democrats want tax breaks to keep jobs here at home.”

Pelosi’s Latest Plea To The Media Will Make You Sick



Democrat House Minority leader Nancy Pelosi made a shocking plea to the media during a press briefing on Thursday. According to The Daily Caller, Pelosi called upon reporters to be “messengers” for the democrat cause, and to pull their weight to help her party.

It all started with a reporter questioning the House Democrats’ message that all republicans are “anti-government.”
“So, you make this case about the skepticism that people have of this anti-government premise here. You talk about, you know, they’re riding this impeachment horse, and lawsuit horse, and all these things they are doing in the election,” began the reporter’s line of questioning.

That’s when pathetic Pelosi got down on her knees and made her ridiculous plea.

“Middle Class Jump Start” is reportedly Pelosi’s 100-day action plan to “put the middle class first.” Oy vey.
Yeah, Nancy, as a liberal you REALLY need to be begging the mainstream media to see things from your side. Try walking in our shoes, that’ll give you something to beg for!
