    What if Elvira comes back?

    Who's point will it prove?

Ours? That we obviously need more enforcement and border security?

Or theirs? That it's a lost cause?

BTW, I think she'll definitely TRY. She's just that daft.

    Opinions?
Just because you're used to something doesn't make it right.

I think she'll be back. When it happens, she needs to go to jail. The U.S. should send Mexico a bill, for the cost.

I think she will be back with some story about not being able to be away from her son. That's when I think this case might go all the way to the top and somehow I fear be decided in her favor - thereby setting a precedent that anchor parents cannot be deported.

I think she'll be back. "I had to see my baby! He is an American citizen!"

Now is a good time to challange that anchor baby law. That boy should of been deported with her.

Besides, in 10 years he can bring her here legally right?

I don't think that she can get any sort of status in the U.S. being she is a convicted felon, regardless of Saul....

    I could be wrong tho.

I also think that she will be back...

Once Elian Gonzolas was brought to shore by the fisherman, he had the right to stay here. But because Castro used this boy as a political football, Janet Reno was forced to make the decision to send him home to Cuba to be with his Dad. His Dad flew to Miami to retrieve him and they both flew back to Cuba.

In Elivira's case, the decision to deport her son with her can be backed up by Janet Reno's decsision. He can always come back as an adult with full citizen rights the day he turns 18. There's no sense separating him from his mother since he can't stay and enjoy the rights of adults like, getting a loan from a bank, purchasing a home, getting a credit card, lease an apartment, etc. This is pretty straight forward but our elected officials seem to lack common sense while seeking their goals for being re-elected.

There's another link here that questions her son's "citizenship" status".

Somethings not right here. Her son is 8 and this is 2007, meaning he was born in 1998 or 1999. She was deported in 1997 and said she caim back in 2000, meaning she was in Mexico when her son was born. Remind me how he is a US citizen again?

Elvira will come back just like all the other criminal invaders do. Being deported is just a small set-back for them.
