    “Feelin’ Good” Turns Deadly….

    Leslie Brown
    On September 8, 2014

Liberals don’t think long-term, just whatever makes them feel morally superior at the moment. This time, the consequences are manifesting in the unexpected way (to the Obama Administration) of making American kids sick; perhaps deathly sick.

You see when we imported all of these “wards of the state” from Third-World countries, liberals everywhere patted themselves on the back for being so “kind and caring” to these poor kids. So now these wards who we are feeding, clothing, housing and educating are infecting publics schools. Super! Why should libs care? Obama’s kids (and those of limousine liberals) go to private school dontchaknow.
Nearly 63,000 children have been caught crossing the United States border alone since October — double last year’s number. President Obama has called the surge an “urgent humanitarian situation,” and lawmakers have called for hearings on the crisis.(1)
There are about 100 permanent shelters located mostly near the United States-Mexico border, which are run by the Department of Health and Human Services. But because of the sudden influx of children, three temporary shelters with a total of about 3,000 beds were opened on military bases in California, Oklahoma and Texas.(1)
Now for the UNanticipated consequences of liberal “feelin’ good”…
A respiratory illness that has already sickened more than a thousand children in 10 states is likely to become a nationwide problem, doctors say.(2)
The disease hasn’t been officially identified but officials suspect a rare respiratory virus called human enterovirus 68. According to the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, the virus is related to the rhinovirus, which causes the common cold.(2)
According to Mark Pallansch, director of the Division of Viral Diseases at the CDC, similar cases to the ones in Colorado have been cropping up across the U.S. At least 10 states — Missouri, Kansas, Illinois, Kentucky, Iowa, Colorado, Ohio, Oklahoma, North Carolina, and Georgia — have reported suspected outbreaks of human enterovirus 68 and requested CDC support.(2)
Some hospitals won’t even allow children to enter for fear of the virus spreading to their immunocompromised patients. Who is going to pay for the emotional cost of having but no choice but to send your child to public school wondering if they too will come home sick? The lower and (shrinking) middle-class of course. We collectively voted for fundamental transformation not expecting our children to pay perhaps the ultimate price.

Are the two stories related or are they not? Does this sweeping mysterious virus that's multiplying across the Midwest, does it have anything to do with that or not? We don't know.

Mysterious Virus Hits Kids in Midwest; Obama Won't Tell Us Where Illegal Alien Kids Were Sent

    BEGIN TRANSCRIPT
RUSH: Now, moving on to this "Bizarre lung virus hospitalizing hundreds of kids across the Midwest. About 450 children have been treated at Children's Mercy Hospital in Kansas City. Virus comes on as a cold before developing into respiratory distress. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention testing whether it is an Enterovirus D68 or EV-D68, a respiratory infection with varying symptoms and levels of intensity. There is no proper treatment or vaccine for EV-D68. Doctors have been treating severe cases with ventilation. Outbreaks also reported in Colorado, Illinois and Ohio.

In other words, "Hospitals across the Midwest are being inundated with children infected by a bizarre virus, which first comes on as a common cold before developing into severe respiratory distress." They have no clue.
Now, there's a companion story. Oh, wait, I'm sorry. There isn't a companion story, except that I know there is, but there isn't. The companion story is Obama will not tell anybody where all of the children that have crossed the border in the last four months have been relocated to. I found that out in my cramming last night getting ready for the big program today. A bunch of people want to know, okay, we had these kids cross the border from El Salvador, Guatemala, Nicaragua, wherever they came from, Central America. They were processed real quickly. Gotten in, gotten out and they've been distributed all over the country. And Obama won't tell anybody where he put them.
The Regime will not announce where they are. Now, are the two stories related or are they not? Does this sweeping mysterious virus that's multiplying across the Midwest, does it have anything to do with that or not? We don't know. That's the answer. We just don't know. But some people think there may be some kind of a connection.

Enterovirus D68 sickens more than a dozen in New York

    By Jacque Wilson, CNN
updated 5:27 PM EDT, Fri September 12, 2014

(CNN) -- More than a dozen cases of Enterovirus D68 have been confirmed in New York state, according to officials.

"EV-D68 is causing cases of severe respiratory illness ... sometimes resulting in hospitalization, especially among children with asthma," the NYS Department of Health said in a statement Friday.

Enteroviruses are quite common in September; the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention estimates 10 to 15 million people are infected by these viruses each year. But doctors believe this particular type of enterovirus, Enterovirus D68, is causing more serious problems than others have in years past.

As of September 11, more than 80 cases in six other states -- Colorado, Illinois, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky and Missouri -- have been confirmed to be EV-D68, according to the CDC.

New York is the first state in the Northeast with confirmed cases.

On Thursday, media reports of kids flooding ERs in Alabama and Washington state spoke to the spread of the virus. Other states, including Michigan, Georgia, Ohio, Oklahoma, and Utah, are also investigating clusters of respiratory illnesses. Several have sent samples to the CDC for testing.

New York sent additional samples from patients with severe respiratory illness to the CDC for confirmation of Enterovirus D68.

The virus is hard to track, as so many enteroviruses cause similar symptoms, and hospitals generally do not test for specific types.

Enteroviruses usually present like the common cold; symptoms include sneezing, a runny nose and a cough. Most people recover without any treatment. But if your child appears to be having trouble breathing, take him or her to a doctor right away.

"It is important that we follow common sense rules to prevent the spread of this virus, as we do for flu and other contagious illnesses," said New York acting State Health Commissioner Dr. Howard Zucker. "Because there is no specific treatment or vaccination against this virus, our best defense is to prevent it by practicing proper hygiene."

Enterovirus D68 makes its way to the Northeast, officials confirm

The mysterious respiratory virus that's been making children sick across the United States has made its way to the Northeast.
More than a dozen cases of enterovirus D68 have been confirmed in New York state, officials said Friday, and FoxCT.com said that two Connecticut hospitals have reported possible cases.

The virus, which is responsible for sending dozens of children to hospitals in the Midwest, especially affects children with asthma. There is no vaccine and, because it is a virus, there is no cure.
The Connecticut Department of Public Health, citing the Centers for Disease Control, said there have been 97 confirmed cases of enterovirus D68 since mid-August, FoxCT.com reported.
Earlier this week, the CDC confirmed cases were found in 19 out of 22 samples from Kansas City, Missouri, and 11 out of 14 samples from Chicago in children ranging in age from 16 weeks to 16 years old. All the children had a medical history of asthma and wheezing.
"It is important that we follow common sense rules to prevent the spread of this virus, as we do for flu and other contagious illnesses" acting New York state Health Commissioner Dr. Howard Zucker said in a statement. "Because there is no specific treatment or vaccination against this virus, our best defense is to prevent it by practicing proper hygiene."
Doctors recommend taking basic sanitary precautions, including washing hands often with soap and water, avoiding sharing items with sick people, and disinfecting frequently touched surfaces. Enteroviruses are transmitted through close contact with an infected person, or by touching objects or surfaces contaminated with the virus and then touching the mouth, nose or eyes, officials said.
"Clinicians throughout the country need to be on the alert for increases in severe respiratory illness and consider this in the differential diagnosis," Dr. Anne Schuchat, director of the CDC National Center for Immunization and Respiratory Diseases, said earlier this week. "Geography isn't that helpful when it comes to respiratory viruses. We know that flu transits the entire country pretty quickly."
Although initial reports indicated there were several hundred children hospitalized in the Midwest, officials said earlier this week they were still testing samples from several other states to confirm whether or not those cases were related to the rare virus.
Schuachat added that most infected people have no symptoms or only mild symptoms, but some infections can be serious. Infants, children and teenagers are most likely to become infected, she said.
Enteroviruses are linked to many symptoms, which include rashes and even neurological illnesses. However, the CDC says the clusters, thus far, have been limited to upper respiratory illness. Just like cold or flu, the illness will run its course in about a week. Parents should start to be alarmed and seek medical help if cold symptoms start to involve wheezing or difficulty breathing.
There are more than 100 different types of the enterovirus, and about 15 million people get infected every year.

Forget ‪#‎Ebola‬. The enterovirus outbreak--which now is causing polio-like paralysis and even death in several children--can be linked to the flood of illegals from Central America.

CDC Warning: Immigrant Children Could Be Spreading This New Mystery Virus In Public Schools

    "This isn’t a mystery; it’s well-known medical science..."

    Robert RichardsonSeptember 29, 2014

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) issued a warning yesterday about a mysterious polio-like virus that’s causing acute neurological illness and paralysis in children. The virus seems to be related to the nationwide epidemic of EV-D68 that we reported on during the first weeks of the outbreak.
The CDC is investigating nine cases of muscle weakness or paralysis in Colorado children to see if enterovirus 68 (EV-D68) might be the virus responsible for the neurological symptoms.

On Friday, The CDC issued a Health Advisory to doctors about the polio-like cases in Colorado, and said EV-D68 was detected in four of the eight sick children who were tested for the virus.
The CDC says the mysterious illness is characterized by “focal limb weakness and abnormalities of the spinal cord gray matter on MRI.” The cases, which are just now being made public, occurred between August 9 – September 17 among children aged 1-18 years old (with a median age of 10 years-old).
The nine children who have been confirmed to have this neurological illness all had fever and respiratory illness about two weeks before developing varying degrees of limb weakness. Health officials don’t think it’s polio because eight of the nine children are up to date on their polio vaccinations.
The CDC, in their health advisory, confirmed that they are looking into the possibility that the nationwide outbreak of EV-D68 is causing the polio-like illness. They are asking doctors around the country to be on the lookout for similar cases and to report any similar neurological illnesses to the CDC.
As we reported in our first article on the EV-D68 outbreak, the CDC and our Federal government are completely ignoring the fact this this virus seems to have been spread by illegal immigrants who’ve been dumped throughout the country – thanks in large part to the Obama administration.
Although it’s received very little mainstream media coverage, the current outbreak of EV-D68 is common to El Salvador, Honduras, and Nicaragua, three countries where a bulk of the illegal immigrant children come from. These unaccompanied illegal immigrant children have been allowed into the nation’s school systems without medical screenings and without required vaccinations.
The CDC may be pretending that they have no idea where this outbreak came from, but for months now similar neurological illness outbreaks have been occurring in border towns throughout the U.S.. In fact, back in February of 2014, an outbreak of a polio-like illness caused as many as 25 children in California to come down with paralyzed limbs and little hope of recovery. According to the BBC, at least five of these cases were directly linked to enterovirus-68, proving the CDC has known about this outbreak for quite some time now.
In July of 2014, the Inspector General of the Department of Homeland Security confirmed that communicable diseases were being spread throughout detention centers set up to house incoming illegal immigrant children. These children were then being dumped in unsuspecting communities around the country.
“Many UAC and family units require treatment for communicable diseases, including respiratory illnesses, tuberculosis, chicken pox, and scabies,” the IG report said. “UAC and family unit illnesses and unfamiliarity with bathroom facilities resulted in unsanitary conditions and exposure to human waste in some holding facilities.”
Unless this government starts to control the crisis at the border, this is only the beginning. When you allow entire populations of people into a country without medical screenings, the results are actually quite predictable.
This isn’t a mystery; it’s well-known medical science. This is exactly why we once required medical screenings of all incoming immigrants, and why we built special islands in New York’s Harbor to quarantine incoming ships. When you introduce new populations to a country, you introduce diseases that have not been seen in that area. You also immediately increase the risk of deadly disease outbreaks.
