Where are the real college kids?

When I graduated High school I couldn't go to the college that I wanted
to go to because it was in another state and I couldn't afford out of state
tuition so I joined the Navy instead.

When I eventually did go college, I had to deal with impacted classes
that were so crowded it was standing room only. I had to compete for
financial programs that were designed for minorities only to get denied
because a minority had priority. As a result, I had to settle for a lesser
degree than what I wanted because I couldn't afford to continue, even
though I was pulling straght A's and B's and on the Dean's list for several
    semesters.

With the addition of several million illegals into the college system the
situation is only going to get worse. They get coddled with no out of state
tuition and will probaly qualify for a whole slew of financial programs and
scholarships. If I were a college student right now I'd be p:ssed about the
dream act. I'd put together a group and go to Senator Hutchison's office to
show support for voting no to the dream act.

Why aren't the real college kids fighting back??

They have been brainwashed into thinking that the American Middle Class Taxpayers can afford the cost of everyone- even illegal immigrants.

But what about the American Students/Citizens GPAs being distorted by illegal aliens student in our school system?

Brainwashing or not, it doesn't take an Einstien to figure out what the
long term effects are gonna be on our colleges. The minorities will be
the worst hit because there will be less to go around and more
    competion.

    They'll know how I felt...

Our campusses are full of OTMs .We are educating the enemy in some respects .

My granddaughter wanted to go to college that had a 3 year waitign list to get in . This university was packed with immigrants from middle east and asia ,at least two thirds were foreign .

Many latinos prefer crime and welfare 'except for the 1 in 50 who work ' so they are not a big problem far as college is concerned [ not being bigot just stating factual statistics ] .

OTMs are now pushing religian on our schools and universities . The same schools our prayers were taken out of are now putting in prayer rooms and even forcing 'muslim day' on our kids .

I am a nursing student, you can bet that I AM POed as hell right now nad have been contact our government reps. I am lucky enough to have the GI Bill and PELL grant, but I feel that this bill will drain all of that for future American generations. This bill states that these fools can also get amnesty for being in the military for 2 years which means that they will of coarse be receiving the GI bill upon discharge. And of coarse they will probably also get the PELL grant which helps millions of poor American college students right now.

Then there is the out-of-state tuition, I am a native of Michigan but have been away for a couple years and will still have to jump through hoops in order to get the in state tuition when I go back to attend NMU next year.

The GI Bill and the PELL grant are awesome programs for our American college students, but if this bill goes through we can kiss them good bye. Our reps seem to think that the government is a bottomless pit and that they can just continue to spend the money on foreigners without it running out.

I have to disagree with that, many of the first generation hispanics prefer welfare and crime, but their anchor babies fill up the colleges. I go to college here in Arizona and half the students are anchor babies. In some ways the anchor babies are an even bigger threat to our economy considering that they know Spanish and our public schools taught them English. Therefore they compete for the "good" jobs while being able to put bi-lingual on their resume. And it doesn't even matter if their American counter parts have better qualifications, just as long as they're bi-lingual.

Beware the sleight of hand that is the DREAM ACT. This isn't about educating kids, it's about AMNESTY!

I can only answer your question about where are the college students by my college student. They are fighting everyday to get their education. She is a pre-nursing student and on the Deans List. First off they don't know who in their school or sharing their dorms are legal or illegal. All they know is that they are fighting to get the needed classes. She knows that out of 400 in her major for nursing only 24 will be accepted for the nursing program each year. She has watched as classes are being cut, classes that she needs, so she is pushing herself carrying an extra heavy load. In her goal to be one of the 24 she knows that a B in any class won't do, it has to be an A. So as she says she has no life, no outside time. It is to class and back to the dorms to study.

I wonder how the Dreamers find time to protest? I can only assume they are not taking the hard coarses. They evidently don't care if they spend 5 or 6 years in college. They are in no hurry to get out into the real world and contribute to our society.

I fear for the dumbing down of our colleges . There will be more adults going to college to get amnasty and it won't just be the best and brightest. How are the colleges going to handle the huge influx? Many of these kids will need remedial courses because they won't be up to par with normal American college kids.

Many of the adult dreamers do not have good grammar and writing skills. If you read their forums and comments on articles the F word is one of their favorite words and blaming whitey is their favorite pastime. After they blame whitey they'll complain about racism in the next post.

Well, I also think the reasons they are not fighting back are the following:

    1. They don't want to be "labeled" - labeling is a very effective tactic by the liberals/open borders/socialists.

    2. They don't know how to fight it.

    3. Indoctrination. Schools in general do not teach individuality, but the collectivist mindset. They move together in unison. So, to think outside the box is common, to act on it - is not.

    4. Ignorant. They are unaware of the consequences for their brethren. See, they are "IN" the school so the encroachment of illegals does not weigh on them. It is those who didn't make it, and they are silent since they are removed from the school.
