Thread: Why do the Elites hate America?

I wonder why the wealthy Elites who are behind Bush hate America so much...They have their multi-million dollars homes, their private jets and more money money than they could ever use...Why do they want to see America turned into an ugly third world country full of poverty? They are not only greedy and power hungry, they are evil too!

Perhaps Molly, they simply don't like themselves.

Because they are wealthy enough to never have to see it, put up with it, or suffer from it.

They can live in their "estates," visiting other "estates," and when bored, they can just fly off to Monte Carlo, or the French Riviera, etc. They are completely IMMUNE.

And that includes the vast majority of millionaire members of congress!

I think it is because they fear us, just look at the history of our nation.

America is the only nation that is the way of the New World Order plans. American democracy is what they must destroy. IWe're also the only nation that can stop it. Therefore, the past 40 years has been spent dismantling this country piece by piece. Illegal immigration has been one of their tools. NAFTA and CAFTA are another.

With all due respect I don't think you are quite hitting the nail on the head. As far as the true "elites" go, now that they have attained to positions of wealth and power, at least in theory, they probably feel guilty for all the moral compromises they had to make getting to the top. Like "A Rhinestone Cowboy" there was "a load of compromisin' on the road to my horizon." OTOH, some people simply inherit wealth and power and in a deisre to be philanthropic look for a cause to participate in. Since for decades we have heard that racial minorities and "people of color" face more difficulties the philanthropy rushes in that direction. And it has a lot of inertia.

It is common in modern university education to be made well aware of the discreprancy between Western technological achievement and Third World achievement and argue that Western countries for the last five hundred years have abused and disrupted those other societies. One popular book of the 1970's was by Ali Mazrui "How the West Underdeveloped Africa." Universities are fine if they improve our society but throughout the 20th C. university attendance has been growing phenomenally, so you get intellectuals like Mazrui and many more, specializing in social sciences and just looking for something to do, to accomplish. They are not true historians, that is far too complicated and boring, --and they are not scientific specialists nor do they want to settle into a humdrum career. So they put certain data together, and certain historical information--backed up, however, by some very broad information--and put together an argument that Europe and America are totally at fault for any violence or disruption in the world. Young people, not having the time to do research on their own, simply adopt this as true as they become more aware of the vivid differences bewteen these two worlds.

In Regards to Mazrui's book, I would ask 1. Did the West have some obligation to develop Africa? 2. Why do you ignore the contributions that the West did make to the rest of the world? 3. Were the trades that were made, which in hindsight might seem unfair, considered unfair at the time by both parties? 4. What about religious practices that harmed human life and health? 5. What about small scale tribal warfare that was halted under Western governance? 6. And finally, in what society would you prefer to live, all other things being equal?

The truth is really somewhere in between. From the vantage of hindsight, with Western morality firmly defended and triumphant we look back and say "that was wrong." But at the time the colonialists did what they believed was right, and in many cases what would still hold up as right--and also preserved Western traditions in the process. We preserved the whole Wstern Hemisphere, North Africa, Arabia and China from takeover by fascist powers in World War 2. Sooner or later, these "indigenous peoples" would have been discovered by someone, so I think they should be glad it was Europeans.

Greedy selfish men/women who look out for their own interest and absolutely NO ONE ELSE!!!!

They probably don't believe they wil have to face someone in eternity for their dirty evil deeds. How could they?

Election time will be here soon enough(?) Take a look at your Senator, has he been there too long? Send him home. Reach out to the other party. Moderates of both parties are fed up with the corruption. If we could swap parties would there be that big a difference? The only ones who would not budge are the far left liberals, and they simply do not understand that the Commies eat their own!
