Illegals seek more than college degrees

A teenage girl studying entrepreneurship at Washington State University would be on her way to realizing the American Dream, except she is not American.

Mercedes grew up poor in a small central Washington farm town, studied hard and despite having to work part-time, the Running Start student graduated from high school with a 3.8 grade-point average and an associate’s degree from Big Bend Community College in Moses Lake.

Like other 18-year-olds starting college this fall, Mercedes is motivated by personal ambition. She wants to own a business so that she can provide jobs to other Latinos. But because she was brought to the United States from Mexico by her parents when she was 2 — and is here illegally — she has lived in fear since she was very young of being detected and deported to a native country she has never known.

Well, since Comprehensive Immigration Reform WAS resolved by putting it in the trash heap, it is true we should not leave these poor "children" in limbo and should instead deport them.

Heck we could even be "humane" about it and deport them to a college in their country of origin!

Way to go William....Looks like you are getting famous in the Pacific Nortwest also!!

Were getting out there ALIPAC'ERS!! As william said we played a critical roll in killing the "Dream Act" Way to Go Team!!! We can attest to that one huh, and we took alot of abuse from DC staffers while doing it!!

Among the latter is William Gheen, president of North Carolina-based Americans for Legal Immigration, a political action committee that claims to have played a critical role in convincing lawmakers to kill the measure this year.

She wants Americans to substitiue her education so she can provide jobs for Lationo's. (Would that be illegal Latino's ?)

As they say....."Everything for the race and nothing for anyone else!!" and people call us racist

The difference in her statment and the way I would have put it... I would have said , I'd like to start a business and help put Americans to work! Who cares what their race is as long as they are Americans. Now who is the racist? Send her packing, this is not the kind of person we want to have citizenship!

Change one words in the above sentence and you would immediately be branded racist and have any number of groups coming down on you.

".....she wants to own a business so that she can provide jobs to Caucasions."

Why do we tolerate this double standard?
