Yup, McCain saturated California airwaves with his tough-sounding ads on illegal immigration in the days before the primary. On conservative talk radio stations too. I didn't hear any from Romney.

Not that they'll listen, but if nothing else, this should show the OBL that illegal immigration is still a top-tier issue. McCain was able to resurrect his campaign by specifically playing up border security and downplaying his open support of amnesty.

I hate to say it but we had our shot , we shot ourselves in the foot
big time on this and yes , it is our fault ,

We wasted our time supporting all the wrong people and now
everyone is crying we are doomed , well , yes we are but we
have no one to blame but ourselves

USA, I'm not sure what else we could have done. I don't believe we're doomed, yet. I believe the fight gets more strategic. I believe we should fight on a smaller scale. We should fight, city by city and state by state. We should fight to educate the voters in smaller races. Each senate race and congressional battle should be on our radar.

These are races we can win. We need to educate the voters. Perhaps ALIPAC needs to get and probably will get even larger.

Unfortunately this will be the case. I just spoke with my Uncle who couldn't believe me about McCains past, until I sent him hard proof in the form of us gov links and press reports. His reaction was, well there has to be some sort of mix-up. "The McCain I know wouldn't do something like wanna give health care to Mexicans..." And this is from a well educated guy who works for Microsoft. Since he was my uncle I did not shoot him and dump him in Puget Sound, but I was pissed at the sheer lack of information that people move forward with.

I know you guys are right. People are so uninformed. That's why I no longer support those little "Get Out The Vote" rallies.

Why in the earth do I want MORE uninformed people voting?

Yes that is true. When Ron Paul supporters were doing exit polls in NH the people were asked "are you for or against the war" Most were agianst..and they were asked why they voted for mccain. They said "McCain's for the war??? I thought he was against the war!" They said they got this response from many sheeple.
