I am so glad that this topic was posted. I downloaded the petition and my wife and I signed it and put it in the mail box.

Of course this will be fought in court, but it is a great cause and one that will give Americans a great victory if it passes. Let's do it!!!

It is impossible to know since so many around the state have not mailed in.. we are thinking about 100K.. We need people to collect 35 each week.. If 1000 do that around the state we will be on the ballot. Every day we are trying to get the major funding too. Phone call after phone call.. But the people did this before and they can again..

Thanks for your help...

Gee, I wonder how our new SCJ Sotomayer would rule on a challenge to the 14th Amendment birthright citizenship clause if it makes it to the SC? That would show her true colors that's for sure!

Quote:
Ted Hayes who recently ran for congress against Maxine Waters in Los Angeles said, “American black men will stop the birth tourism problem connected to the 14th Amendment.”

“That law was meant for West African slaves, not Latinos crossing the border illegally,” Hayes firmly stated. “The Latinos are taking money from the sweat from our backs; we intend to take it back.”

Nunez concurs, “The 14th Amendment was a way for this country to overcome slavery. Our current national policy doesn’t even allow diplomats in this country to gain citizenship through birth.”

Hayes admits it’s time African-Americans to start fighting for their state and country. “The Latinos want to make this about race. I’ll make this about race. The sponsors of this bill are not racists, they’re Americans and we stand with them.”

WORTH READING A SECOND, THIRD TIME. Wink
Quote:
According to the Attorney General for the state of California, who prepares the title and summary, the state would deny birth certificates to children born to undocumented parents unless the mother provides a fingerprint and other information to be given to the federal authorities.

Finally, the initiative eliminates benefits for children in child-only CalWORKS cases which are not mandated by federal law.

For those who want reassurance, the public benefit restrictions in this initiative have already passed and are on the books in five states, Colorado, Georgia, Idaho, Oklahoma and Arizona.

The California ballot initiative is closely worded to the law on the books in Oklahoma, says Hilton.

It is my understanding via email that there is nearly 100,000 signatures about one month ago.

I think I remember they have to get 250K by the end of October to get on the ballot. Their aim is 500K. Everyone needs to get the word out to every American Voting Citizen in California.

It is only 60 days left!

Will Cali make at least a minimal attempt to keep IAs from voting? Here IAs can vote with a very little bit of determination.

My opinion is that Illegal Advocates do NOT want to take Birthright to SCOTUS. They have fought local efforts tooth and nail, but are afraid of the Constitution being actually followed.
They keep citing the SCOTUS decision in the LEGAL Immigrant case where the Asian LEGAL Immigrants went to court to get Citizenship for their kids. After that, the Pro Illegal crowd just pushed birth certificates for ALL illegals. HOWEVER, a baby with TWO illegal parents CANNOT be a citizen by the Constitution. And the Pro Illegals know it! They will do whatever they can do to stop it from going to SCOTUS. Arizona was thinking of banning Birthright to deliberately get it to SCOTUS, but the Libtards squashed it. We REALLY need to get it heard once and for all. BEFORE Obama gets to name ANOTHER Justice!

You are welcome, and I hope any and all of us can make a difference. I am tired of fighting amnesties/pathways, work visas, birthright, Out of State (Dream Act), year after year.
My mother AND father taught me no means no, but these Libtards just don't get it!

Although I retired at 51 (I'm now 5Cool, I am not wealthy enough to move out of Country. If I was, I would go to Australia. Then when it got bad there, New Zealand. I could go by myself, but I can't move 2 daughters/husbands and 7 grandkids. I an very worried about them. I believe I won't be alive to see the REAL end of America, but they darn sure will!
Montana would be good, too. Too cold for most South Americans and the same with the North Coast in Alaska. But Australia still has some conservative folks in charge, and they are getting HARD on Illegals. They are seeing OUR problems. Smart People!

RoboTech: I have been trying to round my family and friends close for an exit of our country. Same locations are favorites of mine that you have chosen. Australia is in my ancestry DNA, wonder if they will let me and mine stay more than 30 days.

30 days is a great number to start evicting illegals.

THE CALIFORNIA TAXPAYER PROTECTION petition can be downloaded below. Please follow instructions and volunteer to collect signatures. Let's help solve California's budget deficit crisis with laws to stop benefits to those here unlawfully and to deter the multi-billion dollar "birth tourism" problem.

http://www.taxpayerrevolution.org/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=6&Itemid=11

Q - How many signatures are required?

A - Approximately 420,000, but 600,000 are needed for insurance, with five months to obtain signatures. The two page petition can be downloaded, copied to one page front and back, and then signed. The last day to turn-in signatures is November 16, 2009.

ABOUT THE AUTHOR

http://www.taxpayerrevolution.org/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=4&Itemid=14
Quote:

As a graduate student Ted Hilton became a scholar of Constitutional Law, and over the last 17 years has researched the 14th Amendment's original intent, the debates written in the Congressional Globe, along with the study of numerous United States Supreme Court citizenship and jurisdiction cases.

One of his degrees is in Mexican-American Studies. He has studied, taught, and written about this population beginning in the 1970's. Ted has lived and studied in Chile and visited extensively throughout Latin America.

On May 4, 1991, at the border, Ted Hilton held the world’s first press conference on biometric identification for one of its creators, George Warfel, who had recently testified before Congress. Mr. Warfel unveiled the ID as a tool to stop illegal immigration.

September 1991, Ted Hilton attended with an official County of San Diego delegation to meet with representatives and lobby in Washington, D.C. for immigrant impact funds due San Diego County from the 1986 amnesty. At the HUD office under Jack Kemp a representative stated illegal aliens are permitted in public housing.

His background includes holding the first daytime demonstrations along the border and in various communities around San Diego County beginning in 1990, demonstrating to worldwide media the lack of border fencing, and illegal migrant camps with fires in public parks and on private property. In 1991, Ted spoke in person to Leslie Stahl from 60 Minutes asking her to do a segment on the out of control border, but she did not see that as a major problem or future story.

Ted Hilton is the original author and first to submit the legislation to the state’s Legislative Counsel in 1992 for issuance of the California driver’s licenses to only citizens and lawfully residing residents. SB 976 was written from this text. His proposed initiatives from the early 1990's were later sent to Rep. Sensenbrenner who was crafting the federal Real ID Act of 2005, in which several of the provisions are now included.

Ted Hilton has authored several commentary op-eds; a ground-breaking call to end public school education to illegal aliens in the Sacramento Bee, February, 1992.

On March 4, 1994, Ted Hilton's article on the 14th Amendment was published in The Daily Journal, the legal newspaper for Los Angeles County. The newspaper stated it would research the article for accuracy before printing, and the editors entitled it "Unconstitutional Citizenship." The article revealed the truth about the original intent of the subject to the jurisdiction clause and called on the state to stop registering births to those here unlawfully.

In 1995, the Los Angeles Times printed his article on how to improve identification to stop services to illegal migrants, prevent welfare fraud, and deter criminals.

He has worked closely on the text with the state's attorneys and others in Washington, D.C. to create the latest version of the initiative that is now launched for the November, 2010 ballot.

CA: Fabian Núñez intends to deal, move on

Quote:

To: NormsRevenge
Assembly Speaker and one-time Pomona immigrant advocate Fabian Núñez is heading into a defining year in his young political career, saying he is prepared to get things done.

As the tsunami of illegal immigration washes over California expect to see more and more anchor babies like Nunez ascend to positions of power in the California Legislature.

Their cultural biases will, at first, be restrained but as they gain a plurality expect expect more forceful expressions of cultural favoritism. Within the lifetime of my children, Californians of Europen ancestory will be a protected minority under California law.

WHY WOULD HE BE INVOLVED TO FIX THE ANCHOR BABY PROBLEMS IN CALIFORNIA?

Hah!!! Can you all imgine the wailing that will come out of all the illegal aliens in Cali if this is voted in?

I would LOVE to see this in all states.

Says they need to get 450,000 (some odd number too) voters to sign it into the ballot....well I can bet they will not have a problem with that.
