It's the voices of men like Lou Dobbs, William Gheen and Glen Beck that represent what is best about America......to stand up for what's right, no matter who or what disruptive forces such as Sanchez or certain politicians or special socioethnic interests are around them. They are the true American heros of our generation, and they speak for the vast majority of our people. Nor will they be silenced. Nor will we ever stop speaking praises of what they do and how they do it.

Will someone please tell Sanchez that a GREEN CARD means you are here legally. This Sgt. did not sneak across the border & then enlist. My husband was an officer in the U.S. Army & unless things have changed, one has to show I.D. upon enlistment. We have always had foreigners in our military from the beginning, but they were not illegally here! I love the way these guys want to justify illegal entry into our country, just because they have the same ethnicity. All our ancestors came from somewhere else & they had to jump through hoops to become citizens. So what, they did it & here we are, next case!

If the fast track to citizenship involves using illegal aliens for cannon fodder I wonder why not just hire them as mercenaries? That is what they are. I am not in favor of either scenario.

The loyalty factor is in question. Most illegal immigrants have their bodies in the US but their hearts and their money in the old country. Just watch any demonstration and you will see the Mexican flag displayed. Since what money they send to Mexico is the 2nd gross national product I'd say we can safely say that's where their loyalty lies.

Rick's arguments are weak, emotional drivel. He is rude because he answers questions and doesn't allow an answer. His positions on illegal aliens are indefensible. Rick doesn't seem to understand that a democracy is majority rule. Maybe that's from his hispanic heritage since his heart must also be in the old country. IT'S TIME FOR MEXICANS, CENTRAL AMERICANS, SOUTH AMERICANS TO REVOLT AND CHANGE THEIR OWN COUNTRIES IF THEY WANT A BETTER LIFE.

Rick Sanchez DID say that the soldier was an ILLEGAL ALIEN, however, he also mentioned that the soldier had a GREEN CARD. If this is true, the question is whether or not the green card was valid or had expired, which would then determine whether or not the soldier was actually an IMMIGRANT or ILLEGAL ALIEN. I think William should clarify this point with Mr. Sanchez.

I agree with William Gheen and disagree with Sanchez. I would like some help with New Yorkers for Immigration Control and Enforcement (NY I.C.E.) of which I am a member. Up until now I think this has been a pretty good group. However, I posted this item there and was suprised to discover that, so far, the response of other members favors Sanchez over Gheen. I am so perplexed at their reaction that I am not even sure how to respond. a huge number of americans went to europe and fought to save the butts of france, britain, and other countries. if we hadn't, they'd all be speaking german now. we were not given citizenship in any of those countries. i wonder if the topic for debate is given to sanchez's guests ahead of time. if so, gheen should've been better prepared. if he had been, surely he would've mentioned the soldier having a green card. if not, sanchez shouldn't be bringing up a subject that is untrue.

Although Mr. Gheen did a usual great job stressing all our beleifs, I was a little disappointed in him not catching the "green card holding" portion of Rick's video. Rick is always an idiot, but William could have truely nailed him, had he busted him out immediately on those points, rather than us debating the obvious after the fact. I think William might have been getting his blue shirt ironed during that segment!!!!

well, I haven't posted in quit awhile...been busy. However, am I the only one that noticed in Lou's intro to "Out In The Open" the utter disdain Lou seemed to have for rick?
I mean I have never seen Lou have that look before. I think Lou realy hates that guy! I'm hoping that Lou has enough "clout" at CNN to have him dumped.
I realy have to ask myself a very important question...why would CNN have that idiot on right after Lou??? I think they are up to something rotten! Maybe they want to see the ratings number drop like a rock after Lou? Or maybe they seem to think that loudmouth can actualy compete with Lou?? I don't realy know...but if anyone else saw it and has any idea why please share your thoughts:)

After watching the video again, it is clear that Rick's own video NEVER said that this seviceman was an illegal immigrant. He simply was not a citizen yet, and his citizenship was expidited because of his military service. NOTHING about being an illegal. Rick is playing with the language, calling apples oranges, and confusing the issue and all of his viewers.

On December 10, 1990, Sanchez struck a pedestrian, Jeffrey Smuzinick, with his car on a residential street near Dolphin Stadium. Rick Sanchez fled the scene of the accident, (Hit and Run), police say he left the scene after hitting a man and returned an hour later.

After the accident, Sanchez, 32, drove home to retrieve his driver's license and insurance card.

Rick Sanchez returned to the scene of the accident an hour later and a blood test showed Sanchez had a blood-alcohol level that night of .15 percent.

Prosecutor Kathleen Hoague said;"she thinks Sanchez was driving drunk at the time of the accident, but prosecutors decided not to charge him with causing bodily injury while driving drunk, a third-degree felony".

Jeffrey Smuzinick died after remaining in a coma from the accident with Sanchez on 11-1-1995.

It should not surprise you that Rick Sanchez also is an anchor for the Spanish language version of CNN, CNN en Espanol.

Like Geraldo Rivera, Rick Sanchez has more loyalties to his Hispanic heritage than he has as an American citizen.

He has a vested interest in aiding and abetting illegal immigration as it will boost his ratings at CNN en Espanol.

We stopped watching RICK SANCHEZ since the first time we saw that he was for the ILLEGAL ALIENS!. What is CNN thinking? we have written letters to CNN to get Rick Sanchez, OFF THE AIR, PERMANENTLY!

And what does CNN do, they move Lou Dobbs to 7:00 p.m. so Lou has to introduce him. Mad

Rick Sanchez is Cuban, just like we are, and he should be grateful to this country when we had to leave Cuba and this country received us with open arms, and for us, THIS IS OUR COUNTRY! and we would give our last blood for it. Not everybody feels the same, Rick Sanchez should return to Cuba or go live in Mexico!

And why does Rick Sanchez keep calling them "ILLEGAL IMMIGRANTS"! They are NOT "immigrants"

The way I understood it, Sanchez either lied or didn't know what he was talking about. During the citizenship ceremony I heard the commentator say something about people with a "green card" that serve in the military get their citizenships sped up and the fees waived. That is what they said! I can't believe this Sanchez guy is even considered an anchor-I think they are using him for theatrics-he certainly does not have any real news credentials. And to let him follow the well respected Lou Dobbs?? Oh no, but maybe CNN is using Sanchez to throw some heat off of Lou Dobbs-who knows.

I watched the Video twice and it clearly stated that the Marine had a green card. That means he wasn't an Illegal Alien and Rick Sanchez needs to get his head out and figure out the difference between an Illegal and a Legal Immigrant. And of course when all his other arguments failed him he resorted to using the race card. It's a tactic used by all Pro Illegal groups. Problem is Mr Sanchez, the American People are not buying into this tactic anymore. So move on, you've had your 5 minutes in the limelight and we're not buying what your selling. Your time is up!
