|
|
Friends of ALIPAC,
Many of the same politicians, bankers, and corporate leaders who are to blame for America's illegal immigration crisis are the same as those responsible for the potential economic meltdown and resulting Depression.
We ask that all ALIPAC supporters who agree join us today to call with the fury that stopped Amnesty.
Please take the following simple steps.
1. Please read, understand, distribute, and post our press release and article. Post them on any non racist websites, send them to your e-mail contacts, and your favorite media contacts. You should also bombard Congressional offices and campaign offices with copies of these as quickly as possible.
Press Release
No More Power and Money for Government Failures! ALIPAC Opposes Bailout!
http://www.alipac.us/article-3565-thread-1-0.html
Exclusive Article
No Amnesty for Illegal Aliens or Wall Street Gangsters!
http://www.alipac.us/article-3566-thread-1-0.html
2. Write out a short message of your own for your representatives in the US Congress and Senate. If you have the time, convey your message to every Federal elected official in your home state. You can use our suggested talking points if you like and ALIPAC activists are ready to assist you online instantaneously if you need help.
Call DC to share your message, then follow up with an e-mail or fax. Snail mail is too slow as they plan to vote on this by Thursday!
3. Call in to any talk radio show you can, as well as C-Span, and get our messages from the talking points, release, and article out into the national debate! Encourage others to take immediate action.
Talking Points
"I oppose this bailout and amnesty for Wall Street. Congress should not throw another tax dollar down the rabbit hole. Please stop the bailout and launch investigations instead to determine who is to blame and who can be prosecuted for creating this financial crisis."
"One Trillion dollars is outrageous and American taxpayers should not be forced to invest in bad business deals made by big campaign contributors."
"We, The People of the United States will no longer reward government and corporate failures with more power and money."
"America is broke and heavily in debt. We cannot afford bailouts for Wall Street fat cats. Where were our regulators and laws designed to protect us from another Great Depression when this was brewing?"
"My hard earned funds and taxes are not a private piggy bank for your big business friends."
"How dare Congress even consider giving the failed and deceitful Bush administration more money and power. This is unconstitutional!"
"This measure reeks of both socialism and fascism and shares characteristics in common with both. This move is certainly totalitarian and I'll be damned if you are going to turn my bank into an agent of the government."

Fill voice mails overnight too. Do not forgot there are several district office locations to contact your Senators/Representatives.
These people have such a low approval rating already and this will surely send the number lower. These people live in luxury, have full health care benefits, can afford the best schools for their children and have lifetime security and pensions that too many Americans will never experience, especially with this new burden placed on their backs.

Started my calls yesterday. I will send your release to all contacts and press.
Thanks William for putting this together.
This is the biggest scam since the Federal Reserve was created in 1913.
This must be stopped and if any group can do it, it's ALI-PAC. _________________

Have contacted my own Congressman (Earl Blumenauer, aka; Mr. Bowtie). I first looked on his page to see if he has released anything, a statement, but nothing. Got one of the interns on the phone and asked if there had been any information released about where he stood on this issue, and I was told that since the actual legislation (did he say bill?) was not yet public, there would be no public announcement on where Mr. Blumenauer stood on it.
Good enough. I stated what my position was as a taxpayer, that I and my husband were 100% against any government bail out with our tax dollars for greedy bankers/investors, and irresponsible borrowers (those that knew they really could not afford the loans they got).
He said that was a very clear and concise statement and was appreciated and he would certainly pass it along.
~sigh~....however, Blumenauer is a big liberal, and it is so hard to say what he will actually do about this, but the very best we all can do is keep flooding their offices with calls. Remember the McCain/Kennedy Amnesty? We had lots of them ready to sign it all away, we called and resoundingly said "NO" and they had to listen and did. We can do it again.
Come on guys, lets ALL get everyone we know to make those calls to their congresspeople and say no to this. Let the chips fall where they may on Wall Street, we can rise again as a people without a government bailout on Wall Street to supposedly shore up our economy. _________________ “In the beginning of a change, the Patriot is a scarce man, Brave, Hated, and Scorned. I just sent out e-mails to my senators and reps for the state of Washington. Some reps don't accept email from people not in their district. I also forwarded this message and asked them to take action and to forward....
Thanks W. You're doing a great job. |

The offices I have spoken to today say they are getting lots of angry calls about the bailout, but no calls in favor of it.
While things are heating up, it will take us at least three days to rally the nation full force and that depends upon if other groups and talk radio shows get on board with the opposition to this bailout.
Some of you may want to contact other groups you support and ask them to get involved in resisting this bailout. You also need to contact talk radio show hosts and ask them to take action against it.
If those other elements do not respond quickly then it is unlikely we will be able to stir up the critical mass we need by Thursday.

Started with the governor, then all the senators and then all the representatives. Follow-up with fax to gov and senators.
We need our torches and pitchforks and go to Washington and throw these useless human beings out, out, out. Then will do it on the state level until all the dirt bags are gone |

Response I got from Sen. Isakson from GA.
Needless to say I called his office and told his staffer to let him know that I wanted him to vote NO on the bail out and that if he votes Yes I will vote against him when he is up for re-election.
Keep making the calls they need to hear from us repeatedly.
Dear Mr. and Mrs.
Thank you for your letter regarding the economy, the financial markets and the proposal from the Treasury Secretary to the Congress.
We are in difficult financial times, and I am committed to protecting the savings and jobs of the people of Georgia by making sound decisions on both immediate actions as well as long-term actions.
First, our economic stress is rooted in the decline of the housing market. The cause of the decline was the funding of marginal credit mortgages (subprime) through the creation of mortgage-backed securities that were sold around the world. As the default and foreclosure rate on these mortgages increased, the value of the securities declined. As the values declined, the balance sheet of the financial institutions that bought them deteriorated. The market for these securities declined and ultimately evaporated, thus causing a liquidity problem for the financial institutions and a credit crisis for American consumers and small businesses.
In the immediate term, we must address the credit and liquidity crisis. In the long term, we must put in place the oversight and safeguards to ensure the transparency and accountability necessary to prevent this from happening again. The Treasury has proposed using up to $700 billion dollars to purchase, at a discount, these mortgage-backed securities. This would provide liquidity to the financial institutions and improve their balance sheets. The important question is this: "Is the taxpayer of Georgia protected?" If the Treasury properly discounts the securities to, say, 50 or 60 cents on the dollar, and holds the securities to maturity there should be little or no cost to the Treasury. More importantly, investors will return to the market and will compete with the Treasury to by these discounted securities and the market will be reestablished. I am working to ensure the safeguards necessary for maximum security for the taxpayer.
In the long term, we must bring transparency and accountability to Wall Street. While I am not a big government regulator, if the investment bankers on Wall Street were held to the same standards of transparency and accountability as our national banking system, this would not have happened. The security rating agencies such as Moody's and Standard and Poor also share some of the blame for the way they rated the subprime mortgage-backed securities, and they should be held accountable. I will work hard for the right reform of Wall Street.
The term bailout has been used a lot in this debate. Not a dollar of the $700 billion will go to the brokers who created the securities. Instead, they will go to the investors who bought them, and then only after they take a significant discount or loss. Properly executed, the Secretary of the Treasury and the Chairman of the Federal Reserve believe this proposal will restore liquidity to the credit markets and return confidence in the financial system.
I will continue to work for the best interest of our economy and the safety of the savings of the citizens of Georgia.
Thank you again for contacting me. Please visit my webpage at http://isakson.senate.gov/ for more information on the issues important to you and to sign up for my e-newsletter by choosing Newsletter Subscription from the topic list.
Sincerely,
Johnny Isakson
United States Senator |

I called ALL my GA reps & both senator's offices in DC. They said they were inundated with angry calls opposed to this bailout actions. They couldn't say how the Reps/Senators stood on the matter, since "it's SO complicated & much to be studied...", but I let them know that they're being watched on this matter & will certainly feel it at the voting polls if they support this OUTRAGE against the taxpayers.
BTW, I HOPE there will be a posting of WHO votes FOR or AGAINST whatever bill comes out on this, so we can all be sure whose heads should ROLL & whose heads should be annointed with oil. Please let me know! |
