China's national flag to go up in White House on Sept 20

The national flag of the People's Republic of China (PRC) will be hoisted at the South Lawn of the White House in Washington on September 20, media reported Sunday.

Chinese associations in the United States had applied to hold a ceremony in front of the US President’s residence to celebrate the 60th anniversary of the founding of PRC.

Chen Ronghua, chairman of Fujian Association of the United States, told reporters that their application was approved not only because of the sound Sino-US relations but also because China is a responsible country.

"Many Americans admire China due to the success of last year’s Beijing Olympics," said Chen.

More than 1,000 people will attend the ceremony and the performances held after it, according to Zhao Luqun, who will direct the performances.

Zhao said the performances will demonstrate the friendship, magnanimous spirit and kindness of modern Chinese people.

Is would be difficult to reject any demand from a nation that owns your debt and makes most of your goods. But our government allows them to poison us, make poor quality items, compete unfairly with American businesses, and squeeze the American workers out of a job. Between illegal aliens taking jobs and lost jobs to China manufacturers, the American worker is definitely being forced to stand on the sideline in some occupations.

The more trillions that the Obama people throw out, the tighter the hold that the Communist Chinese government has on the United States.

China’s national flag to fly outside White House

The national flag of the People’s Republic of China will be raised for the first time on the south lawn of the White House on September 20.

Overseas Chinese planned the ceremony in the US to celebrate China’s National Day, which falls on October 1.

“The ceremony has gotten official approval,” Xiao Shuigen, secretary of the Union of Chinese American Professional Organizations, said Sunday.

According to He Xiaohui, chairman of the Coordination Council of Chinese-American Associations, the ceremony is hosted by overseas Chinese organizations.

To celebrate the 60th birthday of China, and to express their love for the motherland, overseas Chinese will raise the Chinese flag at 10 am that day.

Chen Ronghua, chairman of the US-Fujian Association, was the proponent of the event.

“It was always my dream to raise a Chinese flag in the center of Washington DC,” he told the Global Times. “This year, my motherland’s 60th birthday, is the perfect time for it.”

“The ceremony getting official approval is due to the good relations between China and the US,” Chen said.

As well as the flag-raising ceremony, there will also be performances, with nearly 1,000 people participating, Zhao Luqun, the director of the ceremony, said.

Ten am this morning has come and gone and we still do not have solid verification this story is real.

We need ALIPAC volunteers to be ready to jump at challenges like this that could mean a great deal to our organization and our nation.

Has anyone run cross searches on Google to verify if the people quoted in this article and the organizations mentioned in this article actually exists?

I will check back in a bit and will do the research myself if not well in hand when I return.

Big miss not digging in on this early today folks.

The same story is posted on the Ron Paul site. We can start calling our Congressional members and begin to ask them for confirmation. Then post the names and who said what.

ChinaDaily seems to be the only original source for this story.

Here is the result of two attempts to verify this story. I was told off by two offices for trying to verify this story.

The first office I called was Congressman Peter King. The lady who answered simply said "I don't know," and wanted that to be the end. I told her that I was trying to verify that the story was true, she asked where I saw the story and then she said that I should call that person. I told her that I was truly disappointed in her attitude and that Congressman King seemed to appear to be concerned about the things that most Americans care about. She said, hold on, and then she transferred me. I then spoke to an Anna, and she too knew nothing, and forwarded me to Congressman Ron Paul's office. I spoke to Daniel who also said that he did not know and he then told me that the "dailyPaul" site was not affiliated with them. I acknowledged that I knew that the site was not associated, but that I hoped that they could verify or deny that the story is real. Daniel said, " Why don't you call the White House." I asked him the best number to call and he said "I don't know, look it up." I said you are in a Congressional office and you do not have a number for constituents. He said "We handle legislation."

Rude, rude, and rude. And they are young.

Push 5 for Arabic

Push 6 all others (I guess I am in this new category )

There has been no Chinese flag at the White House. They may have planted it either in Lafayette Park or one of the many other parks in DC for their celebration, and I have been trying to figure out what buildings are in the background. I have found nothing even from China Daily, but if anyone wants to look, I have run out of sources. There should be something in the Washington Times, at least, but there is nothing, nor in any other news source I have searched.
