ALIPAC Calls for Napolitano Resignation in Wake of SPLC Scandal

Americans for Legal Immigration PAC is joining the chorus of calls for the resignation or termination of Janet Napolitano due to the Department of Homeland Security's reliance on faulty information from discredited left wing political groups like the Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC).

"Labeling tens of millions of Americans who are veterans, or concerned about taxes, gun rights, or illegal immigration as potential domestic terrorists is inexcusable," said William Gheen of ALIPAC. "To use anecdotal information found online and provided by discredited leftist groups like the SPLC and ADL to criminalize popular political positions in American cannot be tolerated in a free society. Janet Napolitano must resign or be fired by Obama. If not, then all Americans can safely assume that President Barack Obama supports these highly unpopular and offensive polices coming from the Department of Homeland Security. (DHS)"

DHS documents sent to law enforcement in Missouri and across the nation warns police to be on the lookout for Americans who like short wave radios, Tom Clancy novels, some Presidential candidates, historic American flags, returning veterans from Iraq and Afghanistan, or display political materials and bumper stickers about abortion, illegal immigration, taxes, or gun rights.

These concerns have been elevated by a recent ads run by the National Guard to recruit "Internment/Resettlement" specialists and Executive Branch measures designed to place the President in control of the National Guard.

"People who are concerned about illegal immigration and our Government's complete failure to secure our borders and enforce our existing immigration laws during a time of war represents the popular view on these issues, and not some kind of domestic terrorist threat," said William Gheen. "We call for Napolitano's resignation or termination and ask that all federal officials take immediate actions to dispel public concerns about rampant taxation, gun rights, and open borders plans."

Recent Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) requests filed by Americans for Limited Government (ALG) found that DHS relied upon strange websites and left wing political groups with reputations for exaggeration and radical political positions such as the Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC) and Anti Defamation League (ADL).

According to ALG President Bill Wilson, not one single source listed in the 217 pages of FOIA source information received from DHS was a governmental source.

Similar false accusations of domestic terrorism or extremism have been made by Democrat lawmakers attacking the Tax Day Tea Party events and more recently the health care reform town hall protesters.

"When Homeland Security starts branding Americans as 'extremists' based on non-governmental left wing political groups then it is time for immediate change!," said William Gheen. "Either Obama reigns in DHS or we will move to call for the dissolution of the Department of Homeland Security and a return of American security matters to agencies with more checks and balances to prevent political abuse and misuse."

"Americans should be free to practice any nonviolent political positions they want, without fear of or threat of oppression from the SPLC, ADL, or DHS!" said William Gheen. "One has to look back in history to Germany and the Soviet Union in the middle of the last century to find this kind of politicization of police forces now found under the Obama Presidency."

I cannot remember being so very angry in my life! When I first heard of this right up until now! I watched the Townhall gatherings on TV for several days and the only one with any real problems was when the SEIU attacked the young black man outside of the meeting hall. There are old, young and middle aged people from Democrat, Republican, Independent, and no political affiliation, attending these. The only time they get riled up and holler at the speaker is when that speaker makes a stupid or untrue remark, or worse talks down to the people in a condescending manner. This is not just confined to Janet Napolitano, although I believe that she took it much farther than anyone else has, so far! The reaction she received has scared the rest from going too far, at least for now. BO had the Hall packed yesterday in New Hampshire and they were all BO worshippers. I watched for a little while then changed the station, as it was enough to make a person sick! If we allow this healthcare bill, so-called, pass, we are all dead! Please keep emailing, writing, calling your congress people against this healthcare bill! Also, I throw in the Cap and Trade bill at the end of the calls and emails! Either one or both will ruin this country irrevocably! They are so sneaky they could try to pass both or at least one while on so-called vacation.

It would be really nice if the woman that has called me a terrorist would just quit. I know it will not happen. She and the whole administration feel no shame in shaming me or others. I love my country, have served for my country and wonder what Ms Napilotano has done other than collect paychecks. She does not honor her oath. My state Senators will not answer my letters or phone calls. They are not holding town hall meetings. Boxer and Feinstein. But if you donate money you can get on a conference call with Barbara. So sad. I hope everyone votes them out in 2010 and 2012. Boy did the country make a mistake electing this group of Chicago thugs.

This admin. has the most radical, unscrupulous people in nonelected office positions than any I can remember in a lifetime! They behave like college freshman, who just took their first course in the study of Marx & Engels Socialist/Communist Ideals (Dialectic Materialism). The problem here is they totally missed the point! These ideologies do not work in application. Eventually, people wake up. They want to make their own choices, decide for themselves what road they will take in pursuit of their goals. Too bad they didn't take the 2nd. part of the course: Where it exists (in some form), has existed in the past, & why it always fails. This form of govt. is supported by a Storm Trooper style police force, who "keep the people in line." This is beginning to look very familiar.

Worried American-Will you explain to me why Puerto Rico shouldn't become a state? Puerto Ricans are US citizens. Just because they are of spanish descent doesn't mean that they are like the illegal aliens we have here from south of the border. It also doesn't mean that they will ALL vote Democrat.

We need to start calling our representatives and asking for her resignation, pushing for it.

William, do you know if we have the backing in this from other groups we are in contact with? Maybe we can all start a campaign to bombard the reps lines and emails with American requests to have her ousted, as we did in 2007 with the no amnesty?

Re Puerto Rico. Citizens can vote in primaries but not in the general presidential election. And while statehood has been mentioned before, it has been turned down a few times by the people. DC doesn't have statehood either. In both cases it is about taxation without representation, but the Puerto Ricans have been given the choice and rejected it.

Puerto Ricans pay federal payroll taxes, like Medicare and SS. They also have their private insurers just like this country, while they already do provide free or low cost help for the poor.
WA, have you seen anything that says that this healthcare reform will also apply to places like Puerto Rico, a territory, or any of the protectorates like Guam?
