Several groups that represent that views of most North Carolinians who believe illegal aliens should not be allowed in our colleges are planning a protest in Raleigh on September 17 at 1PM outside of the Community College Executive Board meeting where appointees are expected to give illegal aliens access to NC Colleges.
"Since people will not be allowed to speak at this meeting, we are protesting outside," said William Gheen. "Important decisions like these should be left to state and federal elected officials, not appointed bureaucrats. This board voting to allow illegal aliens access to our community colleges is against the wishes of a vast majority of NC citizens and is depriving us all of a voice and representation!"
NC Community Colleges barred illegal aliens from attending in 2008, while Governor Beverly Perdue was a candidate and member of the Community College boards. NC state Attorney General Roy Cooper ruled that allowing illegal immigrants into our colleges violated Federal law.
"Illegal aliens should not have access to any non-emergency taxpayer benefits," said William Gheen. "North Carolina is already infamous for giving so many licenses to illegals under Mike Easley. Now we are going to be infamous for giving them training for jobs that are illegal for them to hold and at a time when North Carolinians are rushing into these colleges for retraining during the bad economy."
Americans for Legal Immigration PAC (ALIPAC) is a national group with over 25,000 national supporters. Other groups participating in the protest against the expected decision of the board to grant college access to illegal immigrants includes NC Listen, NC Voice, NC Freedom, Randy's Right Blog, NC Tea Party Revolution, and Triangle Conservatives!
Members of the media are asked to let people know about this protest BEFORE it happens. The protest will happen outside of the building where the board will hold its meeting.
Concerned members of the public that also feel illegal immigrants should not be allowed in NC Community colleges are asked to join the protest. Appropriate signs and flags welcome but not required.

I can only hope that these "pro illegals getting everything" people would care as much for the American taxpaying public, who support all these giveaways! In retrospect, there have been large influxes of immigrant groups throughout our history. None of those groups have demanded, insisted, & argued that they DESERVE healthcare, welfare, Social Security, & higher learning at the expense of the taxpayers, while waving their foreign flags in our faces! This group doesn't even have to prove that they are here legally! In a post 911 USA, it is unconscionable for this govt. NOT to make sure that all who enter our country meet all the requirements of legal status. See Title 8, Section 1325 of Fed. Statues regarding illegal aliens. Time to take the gloves off & enforce our laws. DHS is a joke, & so are our colleges & universities. We have had a Phd at a university & college students convicted of aiding & abetting terrorism, one was on an expired Visa. Are we waiting for another 911 before we wake up?

I can't help but wonder if the traders think that they are immune to home invasions, murder and methheads living right next door to them. Oh, and have the traders ever thought about one of their soon to be neighbors taking their jobs and the jobs of everyone in their families? Maybe they think if they kiss enough a$$es they won't be affected.
If I didn't live 10 hours away I would be there. I will write letters to every moron concerned and call them too.
I have written the state legislators--well, a lot of them to ask what the motives behind changing the decision for the fourth or fifth time accomplishes. It is becoming more evident that it is more politics rather than based on any thought what may be best for the NC LEGAL American citizen student who is displaced, or any other student from another state who must pay out-of-state tuition.
This should be under the purview of the government, as our state tax dollars are used to supplement these schools. And no more political appointees on this board, but lets get some taxpayer input which apparently not allowed in the upcoming meeting.
Can see the headlines: NC reverses a reversal of a previous reversal of a previous opinion.
For the past 3 years that I know of and possibly farther back illegals have been stopped from claiming things that they are not entitled to, including amnesty. When are these people going to learn that the American people
are at least 85% AGAINST them even being in the country let alone get a free pass to our colleges and universities which we pay dearly for when we have put our own children into these institutions of higher learning! Do these illegals have to pass a test in order to find out if they even know enough to do the work? Even if they do, why should the taxpayers be forced to pay for something like this when a lot of parents and students struggle to pay for their years in these schools? They take up space literally that was meant for the citizens of THIS COUNTRY not any FOREIGN COUNTRY! I wish that I could be there to protest but it is too far away for me to make it. They need to be put into jail until they are deported back across the border and the FENCE needs to be finished RIGHT with a good National Guard patrolling 24 hours a day! Yes! I am angry!

IAs shouldn't be allowed to live in the community little on attend the community college! _________________ If a man sneaks into your home he is a burglar, not an undocumented tenant you must provide for!
We will be there for sure and my husband told several other people about it. Do you have a feel for how the turnout will be? I hope a lot of people do take the time to do this. It is too important to just let go.

will try for the pics later again. But I did show up at the protest and got a few pics. As you may know by now they accepted the motion to allow illegals aliens into the school system. Which they say are few (112).
They may think we are bad for protesting this,but think about what they are doing. They are going to "OVER CHARGE these students for the college tuition by approx. $2000.00. So who is taking advantage of who in these cases?
Well 112 students at $2000.00 is $224000.00. So is this glorious amount going to really solve any financial problems in the system? I-9s Need to be E-Verified, Use IMAGE, and 287g Program
The problem is employers are not E-Verifying I-9s. The governor of NC and Attorney General knows the Community College Board is aiding and abetting illegal aliens. Why? Who is making money on the slave labor? And what NC Citizens have been displaced by illegals?
NC Students/Citizens are being cheated out of higher class ranking due to illegal alien students being allowed to be ranked by Grade Point Averaging -GPA system. So some very qualified NC Students get displaced by illegal aliens in lower level courses in this ranking. Being given straight "A's" for lesser work in High School, then getting a higher ranking in front of NC Citizen/Student with "B" Honor work. See the loophole is all these course grades go into a GPA ranking to go to COLLEGE. Then the scholarships and colleges look at students class ranking when accepting or giving awards out. THINK NC CITIZENS IS THIS FAIR TO OUR OWN CITIZENS/STUDENTS?
Displaced North Carolina Students by lower course of study illegal alien students are abusing NC Citizens.
The simple solution for problems of education, employment, financial, drug cartels, and criminal aiding and abetting of illegal aliens would be to require the full State of North Carolina to use E-Verify of I-9 of every employee. Currently, the ESC (unemployment offices) in NC only E-Verify the I-9 of MIGRATE FARM WORKERS. Why not all I-9s?
And all NC police should be required to join the 70 of 3,000 DISTRICTS in the country that use 287g Program. The media and police reports should contain the legal status of inmates in the jails in North Carolina. One state actually puts the words of "ON HOLD FOR ICE" for public information in their media and police information to the public. What is the big secret? And who is benefiting and losing from not check the identity of everyone?
