Huge Load Seized By Border Patrol Agents

Border Patrol Agents seize almost one-and-a-half tons of marijuana over the weekend.

The seizures happened in two separate incidents in the Laredo Area.

The larger of the two occured this Saturday in a ranch near Hebbronville.

There Border Patrol Agents were alerted to possible drugs or people being hidden in an oil service truck by a service canine

On inspection the agents found over fifteen hundred pounds of marijuana.

The second seizure was made at the Laredo North Station late Friday Night.

There too agents were alerted by a canine to possible contraband in a trailer.

Twelve-hundred-pounds of marijuana were seized with an estimated street value of just under a million dollars.

The marijuana and vehicles in both cases were turned over to the Drug Enforcement Administration.
