We need to find out his position on illegal immigration. Below the article is a direct link to his campaign site and MySpace site.

Danny Tarkanian Announces US Senate Bid
CARSON CITY, Nev. (AP) ― Danny Tarkanian has announced his candidacy to challenge Democrat Harry Reid in next year's U.S. Senate race.
Tarkanian, a Republican, made the announcement Friday, and says he will launch his campaign Monday in Las Vegas.
Tarkanian ran unsuccessfully in 2006 for secretary of state, losing to Democrat Ross Miller.
In 2004, he ran for the state Senate and lost to incumbent Mike Schneider, D-Las Vegas. Tarkanian sued Schneider for civil libel and slander over campaign materials, and a jury last week ruled in his favor.
Schneider has since agreed to settle the case for $150,000.
Tarkanian is the son of former basketball coach Jerry Tarkanian.
Republicans Beers, Tarkanian address group calling for border clampdown"They might have hundreds of thousands in the streets," Lawrence Pappas said. "But we've got 9.6 million that have signed our petition."
"Damn straight," an audience member muttered.
Pappas is the executive director of Secured Borders USA, a Nevada-based group that circulates a petition demanding enforcement of America's immigration laws and claims to have nearly 10 million notarized signatures.
Pappas was speaking at a Las Vegas meeting that attracted about 75 people on Tuesday night.
While marchers demanding amnesty for illegal immigrants have massed by the thousands in cities across the country in recent weeks, groups like Secured Borders have been largely unseen.
But they represent the other side of the debate.
At Cashman Center on Tuesday night, another group, Wake Up America, also was conducting a town hall meeting focused on opposition to illegal immigration and a call for a border clampdown.
At least 200 people reportedly attended that meeting.
Wake Up America is planning a "Unite to Fight Illegal Immigration" summit for Memorial Day weekend in Las Vegas, and organizers say they expect people from throughout the nation will attend.
Danny Tarkanian, a Republican running for Nevada Secretary of State, was slated to speak to the Wake Up America town hall gathering Tuesday night.
Afterward, he spoke to the Secured Borders group.
But like the immigrants who have taken to the streets, the secure-border advocates are capable of making politicians squirm.
That was the experience of Republican gubernatorial candidate Bob Beers, who preceded Tarkanian at the Secured Borders event.
Although he's considered the most conservative of the five candidates for governor, Beers wasn't conservative enough for this crowd.
Beers told the crowd that, if elected, he would push for all state documents to be printed in English only, a move he said was about "both promoting Americanism and fiscal reasonableness."
The Secured Borders crowd liked that.
Beers also said he supported restricting the Millennium Scholarship, voting and most social services to those who can prove they are citizens, and that went over well, too.
But then he said he didn't believe it would be practical to deport the estimated 11 to 12 million illegal immigrants already in America because their American-born children are legal citizens.
"If we send their parents away, then we pay for them (the children)," he said. "They become wards of the state and we have to pay to take care of them. That doesn't strike me as very practical."
Beers, the self-proclaimed father of the Tax and Spending Control ballot initiative to limit government spending, was hitting his favorite note, fiscal restraint. But the audience had other priorities.
"How many do you think we can deport, and when can we get started?" an audience member asked.
"Well, how high do you want us to raise your taxes?" Beers replied.
Audience members could be heard muttering, "Whatever it takes."
Beers said it also wouldn't be desirable to bar people from speaking Spanish in the workplace or to prohibit businesses from posting bilingual signs.
He said a program that would allow illegal immigrants already in the country to work toward citizenship seemed to him to be the only workable solution.
With regard to several issues, such as cracking down on violators of immigration law and penalizing employers of illegal immigrants, he said his hands were tied, because the issues were the province of the federal government.
"We really don't have any vehicle to delve into that problem at the state level," he said at one point.
For one questioner, that was a cop out.
"We've seen a lot of talk, and I believe our patience is running out," the man said.
"With all due respect, sir, I think you're a weak man. You're saying, 'I'm running for office, but I wash my hands of this.'"
The attendees at Tuesday's meeting were extremely knowledgeable, able to discourse on everything from the Gadsden Purchase to the economy and society of Mexico.
Although they were almost all white, they said their movement wasn't race-based.
They were only interested in seeing the rule of law restored to the United States.
"I got put out of the construction business in 1980 because I couldn't work for the low wages they would work for," said Mike Murray, a Las Vegas resident wearing a Marine Corps cap and a shirt with the words "A Nation of Riflemen."
But politicians in America aren't willing to stand up to the tide of immigrants, he said.
"The Democrats want them for the votes, the Republicans want them for the cheap labor, and neither of them are willing to address what I think is the dissolution of our country."
Those at the meeting felt that no one was speaking for them in politics.
"I just feel betrayed by our president," said 61-year-old Sue Heiselman. "I feel like we are being governed by foreign nationals. They are making a mockery of our country."
One prospective politician was on the same page as his audience.
Kenneth Wegner, an Army veteran who previously ran for U.S. Senate and says he will file next month to be the Republican challenger to Rep. Shelley Berkley, D-Nev., had tears in his eyes as he tried to control his anger.
He showed pictures of a woman he said was an illegal immigrant who had stolen his 17-year-old daughter's identity; an accused child molester who had escaped on bond; a man he said was a drug dealer and food-service worker with HIV; and a man he said he'd gotten into a fight with Monday night while trying to arrest him.
Wegner works as a bail enforcement agent.
"They may not be hurting you today or tomorrow, but they're going to get you," he said.
"I will not let them do to this country and my children what they're doing."

This is great news! The American people must support with our time and money candidates that represent our point of view. No Amnesty, Less Government, etc.
Overall, the Republicans have been consistantly speaking out and voting on our behalf.

I am a neighbor of Danny's, a republican in the same county party, and as a former candidate for state assembly, Danny assisted my campaign when many local Republicans were pushing me aside for being a local organizer of protests against illegal immigration and a Ron Paul supporter.
He hosted a townhall last night about healthcare where the subject of illegal immigration was brought up. He repeated what I've heard him say before... close the borders, cut off incentives, fine employers who hire illegals, and american citizens before illegals in schools and emergency rooms!
The discussion even turned to the constitution, and unlike many politicians in the last election cycle, the topic was welcomed and he made it clear he understands our freedoms are at risk.
He supports auditing the Fed!
Supports small business incentives to generate jobs.
He is against the healthcare so-called "reform" bill.
During the same campaign he was accused by the Democrat of illegal doings, but Danny never faltered, never gave in, and was cleared of all charges (by Harry Reid's son) tho they kept up the ads to skew public perception. He sued for libel and thru a court battle that took years, just a few weeks ago won his case against them that will set new precedent and standards against mud-slinging campaigns.
I can honestly say that Danny is a one of the good guys and I believe he'd do a great job for us in Washington. Please spread the word across the nation. He is our hope against Reid. Support him any way you can. We must defeat Reid and break his hold over the senate and all of Washington!
