Polls: Majority oppose House health plan, inclusion of illegals, abortions

A new poll shows Americans oppose the health care reform bill passed by the U.S. House of Representatives over the weekend. Another survey by the same pollster, Rasmussen Reports, shows that Americans tend to oppose covering abortions or illegal immigrants in a new government health system.
Democrats in the U.S. House passed the bill Saturday. It includes creation of the government-run health option favored by President Barack Obama, which would operate along side private insurance companies. The bill that passed the House also restricts government health spending and coverage for abortion – a provision that was key to its passage. The bill now moves to the U.S. Senate, where the public faces more opposition.
The Rasmussen poll conducted Nov. 7 and Nov. 8 shows 52 percent of the 1,000 voters surveyed opposed to the House bill and 45 percent in favor.
Other recent Rasmussen polls show only 13 percent of those surveyed supporting coverage for abortions and 48 percent in opposition.
On the immigration issue, 83 percent of those questioned by Rasmussen said applicants for government health coverage should be required to prove they are U.S. citizens, while 12 percent oppose such a requirement. The immigration and abortion surveys were conducted in September and also questioned 1,000 voters.

I am against the whole concept of this government takeover of our healthcare system. Anyone who thinks that they can trust the people who voted to approve this legislation should contact me for details on some very reasonably priced ocean front property which I am considering selling in Oklahoma.
My "Congressman" voted for this after assuring hundreds of his constituents at a town hall meeting in early September that he would not support the bill. After learning of his most recent betrayal I called his office in the District of Criminals and asked for his resignation. Then, knowing that my suggestion had very little chance of being taken under advisement, I assured his staffer that this man will not represent this district after the 2010 election. I told him to tell this coward that he had better try and do all the damage to this country that he intends to do before then. I was hung up on......Hung up on!!! I called back and established on the front end of the conversation who everybody is and who works for whom. After we decided that the "Congressman" theoretically works for ME, I reminded him of what happens to people who hang up on their BOSS.
We really must come together and vote out every one of these criminals who does not represent the interest of this country. I make an effort to strike up this conversation with strangers in the grocery store, or any place where I might sway a vote and help unseat these traitors. And that includes most of them in the District of Criminals....Demoncrats and Republitards.
I mean, they're going to put you in JAIL if you cannot afford health insurance? After they have made sure that an illegal alien has your job and you are unemployed? At this point, buying health insurance might be on the back burner for a lot of Americans who might just be aspiring to get their hands of a few cans of vegetables with which to make soup for their families. Let alone health insurance. It almost seems like they are bound and determined to put us in jail for SOMETHING, doesn't it?
This is simply a socialist power grab. There's something very very wrong with this whole picture if you ask me.
