Md. bill would force undocumented student count

Md. bill would force undocumented student count

    Jan 24, 2011 9:23am

FREDERICK, Md. (AP) — State lawmakers from Frederick County say they will introduce a bill requiring a tally of possible illegal immigrants among the county's public school students.

The delegation voted 5-3 Friday in favor of introducing the legislation.

It would require the county's public schools to count the number of students who have not presented documentation showing they are in the country legally.

No such documentation is required by the schools since the Supreme Court has ruled that all children must get an education, regardless of immigration status.

But some parents provide documents such as birth certificates, passports or visas as part of enrollment.

GO MARYLAND! GO! GO! GO! You may have to educate them until the US Supreme Court ruling is over-turned, but you have every right to know who they are, where they are and what they're costing you. IN FACT, the entire basis of that stupid outrageous moronic US Supreme Court decision was based on the sad fact that the district in Texas that refused to educate these kids couldn't demonstrate due to the small numbers at that time that there was a financial burden to the education. Well, BOY HOWDY, how about today? Wouldn't almost every major school district in the country be able to demonstrate the burden of education costs expended on illegal alien kids? No doubt they would, and in fact the school that lost this case could have but didn't. They thought there was a more important aspect to their case, like THE LAW. It's a sad day in America when the US Supreme Court rules on the money instead of the law. It's time to over-turn that piece of crap and haul these illegal alien kids and their parents out of our country and keep them out, once and for all.
