Thread: How a small group of Congressman might stop amnesty

This lobbying campaign has already started. As you know, whatever the senate passes(unless its the exact same bill the house passed) goes to conference(often called the 3rd house of congress) and whatever comes out of conference then must be passed by the full house and full senate and signed by the prez. This effort is a no nonsense approach to stop amnesty in the House and requires only a small number of congressman and it goes like this. Our so called friends in congress have already received this so let's see if they are for real.


Open letter to Congressional Republicans who “say” they oppose AMNESTY for illegal aliens

Not ONE of you is proven in the moment of heat.
The time has come for you to show what you are made of.

Form a coalition of Congressman/woman and go to Speaker Hastert and TELL him that if tries to force through amnesty that you have a coalition that will SWITCH PARTIES to independent causing the Republicans to lose the majority and electing Congresswoman Pelosi as Speaker of the House. When this happens you will have a 3 party House and you may end up working on what you should be working on. IMPEACHMENT.


Failure to do so demonstrates that you are a fraud and are unworthy of support for re-election and may only postpone the republicans losing the House until election day. The PRICE of amnesty is republicans losing the House and betrayed conservatives can make that happen even with what you think are gerrymandered districts!!!!!!!Remember the 2002 mid term elections? It was a lot of close wins for republicans decided by ONLY 1.5% of the simple electorate. If your base don’t show up and vote R you lose the House even with your gerrymandered district lines.

I also like to add that history is going to regard this time period as those years when corrupt gov't, including President, House and Senate, plus those influential businessmen, caused the hurried downfall of what, HAD BEEN, the greatest bulwark of freedom in the world.

I pray it's not true. I'm just trying to make them THINK. And maybe to take a stand, even if it's only for their ego, NOT their sworn duty.

Is there any move in Congress to move to a third party? An Independent Conservative Party? One that would get grassroots support?

That letter has already been sent to many R congressmen/women. If they are unwilling to switch parties to an independent conservative or even the MM party then in my opinion thay are not willing to do everything in their power to stop amnesty. Does anyone disagree with that? Sound bites are one thing but sound bites will not stop amnesty. If they want to talk the talk, they have to walk the walk.
