Facebook Timeline forced upon all users -
it is not that bad - Video/Pics

Last September Timeline was introduced to Facebook, it was in beta testing at that time.

In December, Facebook users were allowed to start using Timeline if they chose to, others were told that starting in February it was something that everyone would have regardless of if they wanted it or not.

Timeline is kind of like a scrapbook, a journal of your life since starting Facebook.

Timeline drastically changes how information on Facebook is used.

"It's a way to tell all the important stories from your life on a single page," Facebook co-founder and CEO Mark Zuckerberg said.

Timeline shows all the updates a person has added to Facebook since they joined the site. Everything from day one.

At any time, you and your Facebook friends can see what you did on this day, what was said, your statuses, pictures, everything.

You have the choice to completely delete something from your timeline or keep it and only allow certain people or groups to see it.

It gives you a chance to go back and see what you did and said, how you felt, what others had to say. It can be both a good thing and a bad thing.

Kind of like a walk down memory lane, and you can choose what to do with that memory. Bad memories can be deleted, embarrasing ones can be hidden, and good memories can be shared with everyone.

You now have a cover picture and a profile picture. It has a right bar listing years in chronological order that you can click on to see what a user shared on the site, who they made friends with, what they did, pictures they uploaded and other information for any given period.

Privacy is not being compromised, though it would be smart to double check your privacy settings once you are changed to the new format, in case your privacy settings did not stay the same.

Now is the time to change posts and photos to private or only visible to certain people in case you were not friends with someone you do not want seeing or knowing something threee years ago.

Maybe you told your boss you were sick for three days and went on a min vacation, your boss is now your friend on facebook, you can hide those posts and pictures from your boss.

You can highlight the posts and pictures that you want people to see, and hide the ones you do not. You can add things that happened in your life now also, example; 'Got engaged in 1998, 'Got married in 2000' all of these can be added to your life events.

To see all of your posts easily, click on activity log and you can see eveything you do, and make the changes you need to right there.

While change is always frustrating for some, the new timeline is not as hard as many think it is. Facebook has a video and instructions that you can follow step by step to understand the whole thing.

Take your time, go through everything and enjoy reliving your Facebook history, it can be fun.
