Signing the Fence Into Law
When does President Bush sign the Fence into Law? Is it in October or November, 2006?

He said that he would sign it as soon as it was passed, let's see if he does. Unfortunately the bill passed, but they did not approve funding for the fence. I hope this is not just a pre-election smoke screen that never gets funded.

Are you sure about the funding part? I thought that it was good to go, and just needs the President's signature.

As a longtime conservative I do not think Bush is "on our side" but I think the Democrats would be worse. On my home forum one of our smarter members remarked that the democratic party has gone as far as it can to try to get the native vote, and that their socialist ideology now requires them to overwhelm conservative sensible natives by importing foreigners who'll fall for the giveaway mentality.
Is the invasion by illegals a given? Is it stoppable? A big fence would be a good symbol. They should stay at home and fix their own darn country.

The fine print on the fence bill gives them two years before they have to do anything.
As far as the funding goes, the $1.2 billion is a "down payment" that doesn't all have to be spent on a fence.
Remember, Boeing just got a multi-billion dollar deal to construct a "virtual" fence. So, who knows what money is going where? It's like hell vomited and the Bush administration appeared.
We must push through early Thurs at this critical moment
