Customs workers and border security were better under old system, union says

The president of the National Treasury Employees Union, Colleen M. Kelley, today addressed the House Homeland Security Subcommittee on Management, Investigations and Oversight.

NTEU represents more than 21,000 Bureau of Customs and Border Protection workers, including about 865 in Southern Arizona. (On a side note, only one of the 10 seats on the committee is filled by a representative from a U.S.-Mexico border state.)
