Candidate Background Information
Prior political or campaign experience: N/A
Top Campaign Issues: Coastal Restoration is my top issue because it is the highest direct threat for my district. However I support common sense solutions on many other issues which can all be seen on the issues page on my campaign website. These issues include a common sense approach for immigration and border security.
Education, Awards & Honors:
Graduated from the University Of New Orleans with a B.S. in Computer Science. Currently seeking my masters in Computer Science.
Received the UNOMACSS fellowship from the National Science Foundation for 3 years during Graduate School.
District Information
Please give a brief description of your district: It is composed of Washington, St. Tammany, and Tangipahoa parishes. It also includes parts of Orleans, Jefferson, and St Charles Parish.
Percentage of Democrat, Republican, and Unaffiliated Voters: Plurality of Democrat voters. However, they are conservative and usually vote for a Republican unless the Democrat is conservative enough. I believe that I have the right message that can sway the voters. In the last governor’s race, 33.4% of the district voted for the Democrat candidate. I believe I can convince another 17% to vote for me because of the issues I support.

Short Answer
Has your campaign addressed the topic of illegal immigration in speeches, commercials, ads, or campaign materials? What are those messages? (Please provide sources or examples) On my issues page, http://www.votefordan.net/issues.html , I state “Allowing people to circumvent our immigration policy is a big risk to our security. There are better ways to allow good honest workers from other countries to work and live in our country without risking our safety. “
What do you feel your opponent’s stance on illegal immigration or immigration reform is or would be?
My main opponent is Bobby Jindal. I have not heard or seen him discuss illegal aliens. However, he has never spoken out against any policy of the President and I fear that he would be a follower in Congress and not a leader. I fear that he will put party politics above the needs of American citizens just because the President wants to allow amnesty for illegal aliens.
Have you been endorsed by or received contributions from any other immigration reform or illegal immigration reduction groups at this time? No, though I would be open to receiving endorsements or contributions from any group that would encourage common sense when dealing with our borders.
Would you openly accept an endorsement and or contribution from ALIPAC? Yes. I am not going to play partisan politics if I am elected to Congress. No matter whom the President is, or what the makeup of Congress is, I will fight any effort to ease restrictions on illegal immigrants. Your organization would benefit from having me in office and our country benefits when we use common sense in determining who gets to cross our borders.
