Short Answer
Has your campaign addressed the topic of illegal immigration in speeches, commercials, ads, or campaign materials? What are those messages? (Please provide sources or examples)
The following is my official position statement on illegal immigration from my website:
Representative McHenry will work to get tough on illegal immigration. This is a problem that has increased rapidly and we are not taking it seriously enough. There are currently an estimated 6 million illegal immigrants in America. We must have improved security on our borders and provide better surveillance equipment. Representative McHenry will oppose any effort to offer amnesty to illegal immigrants and will support efforts to streamline the deportation process. He will also support tough punishment for those found to be knowingly employing illegal immigrants.
What do you feel your opponent’s stance on illegal immigration or immigration reform is or would be?
My opponent has stated that we need to focus not so much on border control but on providing quality “family planning to other countries to alleviate their population problems.
Have you been endorsed by or received contributions from any other immigration reform or illegal immigration reduction groups at this time? Yes, both Eagle Forum and the Conservative Victory Fund have supported my campaign financially and both are strong advocates for a reduction in illegal immigration.
Would you openly accept an endorsement and or contribution from ALIPAC?
Yes.

Americans for Legal Immigration PAC (ALIPAC) offers their enthusiastic endorsement of Patrick McHenry for US Congress in North Carolina’s 10th district today. State Representative McHenry offers voters a clear choice for immigration reform.
“Patrick McHenry’s campaign is a good example of how candidates should address the issue of illegal immigration. says William Gheen, President of ALIPAC. “He has indicated that he opposes any amnesty or guest worker program and that the deportation process should be streamlined. While some candidates rely heavily on the illegal immigration issue, McHenry has offered the voters a choice while maintaining a well balanced campaign. We expect to see Patrick McHenry earn an “A rating for immigration reform in his first term.
Patrick McHenry was endorsed due to his responses to ALIPAC’s candidate survey found at http://www.alipac.us , his campaign platform messages at http://www.mchenryforcongress.com and his opponent’s statements on this issue. McHenry’s opponent has made statements that the focus should not be on American border security, but on family planning for other countries. The McHenry campaign estimates that there are six million illegal aliens in America.
“A lot of our members live in Cleveland County. Gheen says. “They are enthusiastic that they have a clear choice for a strong voice for immigration reform in Congress. Some sources say that we have 15 million illegal aliens in America with an unprecedented amount crossing the border each day. We need a Congress that will turn back this tide. America can’t conserve what is great about our nation with 4,000 people illegally crossing our borders each day with 3 million expected to cross this year.
