8-16-08 walter Moores' Jamiel's Law petition signing day

Fight to get rid of Mayor Tony V. from his job, I searched and found this event for those in California.

Walter Moores' Jamiel's Law petition signing "Hour of Power"

    From: Sat Aug 16, 2008 12:00 pm
    To: Sat Aug 16, 2008 2:00 pm

Walter Moore is planning a signature gathering drive during what he is calling an "Hour of Power" on Sat. Aug. 16th. The ultimate goal, of course, is to get 70,000 plus signatures to put Jamiel's Law on the ballot as an public initiative. Waltermooreformayor.com LINK: http://web.mac.com/waltermoore/

OK, here's what we need to do: Just show up and help out.
*If you are a Los Angeles City resident, you can help obtain signatures or sign the petition.
*If you're not (i.e. in the OC, Ventura, Santa Clarita, etc.) there is nothing to prevent you from helping out. Wave a U.S. flag or signs/help draw the attention of passersby, hand out info pamphlets (that can be downloaded from Walter Moore's site), etc.

It's only an hour out of your life (not including travel time) and, years involved with The Cause, it is the most organized thing in opposition to illegal immigration and gang members that has occurred locally. Lots of the general public is down with this, as well.

Anyone who wishes to participate should probably figure which location he or she plans to hit and post it in this thread so others may:
    A) decide to join you, or
    B) know that that one is covered and help out at a different location.

Folks, let's jump on this golden opportunity to get active and do some community good!

    Invited: Everyone

I hope they have extra security and loads of people with video cameras. Those who support IA's tend to be violent instigators. God Bless everyone who will be doing this petition drive!

How many more signatures are needed? Isn't it just for LA residences?

CALL LIST TO GET THE VOTE OUT FOR THIRD PARTY

SOMEONE NEEDS TO CONTACT THE SHAWS AND SEE IF THEY ARE PLANNING ON GOING THIRD PARTY. IT WOULD NOT HURT TO TRY
