Brown concedes defeat to McClintock in Calif race

WASHINGTON—Democrat Charlie Brown has conceded defeat to Republican state Sen. Tom McClintock in their hard-fought race for California's 4th Congressional District House seat.

Brown's spokesman says the Democrat called McClintock earlier Wednesday to concede. It comes a day after final tallies from count registrars showed McClintock with a lead of more than 1,500 votes.

Brown could have requested a recount but McClintock's lead looked insurmountable.

McClintock will replace longtime Republican Rep. John Doolittle, who's retiring in the rural district north of Sacramento.

It was one of just a few unsettled House races nationwide.

This is really good news, I think McClintock will be another Ron Paul.

One more open borders Mexican government reconquista masquerading as a representative of the American people replaced by a real American. Looks as if illegal alien votes made no difference this time.
