NEW NumbersUSA FAX's DREAM Act Amnesty!

Urge your Congressman to Oppose the DREAM Act Amnesty!

    Rep. Connie Mack
317 Cannon HOB, US House of Representatives
    Washington, DC 20515

    Dear Representative Mack:

There are more than 12 million unemployed Americans. With this in mind, I find it appalling that some Congressmen are working to pass the DREAM Act amnesty. This will mark the first time you will have to make a decision on amnesty and I expect you to oppose this bill.

The DREAM Act is not a small amnesty for a select group of individuals. It provides an illegal "teenager" (i.e., anyone under 30) with an opportunity to legalize their parents, leading eventually to their whole extended family (aunts, uncles, grandparents, and cousins) coming to the United States.

In 2007, the big argument in support of this amnesty was to protect teenagers who are here illegally because their parents broke the law. Despite the under 30 years age requirement, this amnesty will apply to more than just teens because "humanitarian" and "family unity" exceptions were added to the age limit. Nonetheless, the underlying argument maintains that the teenagers should not be punished for the crimes of their parents.

However, as soon as these DREAM Act amnestied citizens are over 21, they can request to bring in or legalize their parents, the same people who broke the law to get them into the country in the first place. Furthermore, due to chain migration, the amnestied "teens" can petition to bring in their extended family (aunts, uncles, cousins and grandparents) as well. In other words, the chief criminals will be rewarded.

This a back-door amnesty for the parents of these illegal "teens," and a chain migration nightmare for our country. I am sure you will agree that the DREAM Act would only make matters worse for America.

The DREAM Act will be the first amnesty bill you will face in Congress. You will probably be put under immeasurable pressure from pro-illegal alien and anti-American worker interest groups to support this amnesty. You must resist these calls because the vast majority of your constituents will regard any support for this amnesty as a stand against unemployed Americans.

    Unable to comprehend your actions,

    XXXXXXXXX

P.S. I have heard rumors that you are sponsoring the DREAM Act amnesty. Please tell me this is a mistake, as the DREAM Act would create a giant permanent rolling amnesty that would harm tens of millions of Americans. How could you even contemplate supporting such an amnesty without first mandating the use of E-Verify?

Urge your Member(s) of Congress to Oppose the DREAM Act Amnesty!

    Sen. Mel Martinez
356 Russell Building, United States Senate
    Washington, DC 20510

    Dear Senator Martinez:

The DREAM Act amnesty would create a permanent rolling amnesty that would seriously harm America's more than 12 million unemployed. Please renounce your cosponsorship of such an offensive bill!

I was appalled to learn that you are supporting the DREAM Act amnesty. Don't you believe that there are far more important things for the Congress to be focusing on (such as creating jobs for more than 12 million unemployed Americans)?

You and your Congressional colleagues have failed to pass the long-term reauthorization of the E-Verify program, let alone mandate that all businesses use the program.

Before even considering supporting the DREAM amnesty, you need to close the chain migration loophole that will allow genuine lawbreakers to remain in the United States permanently. The main argument for the DREAM amnesty is that children should not be responsible for the sins of their parents. If this is truly the case, then those "children" amnestied by the DREAM Act should not be allowed to attain legal permanent residence or amnesty for their illegal alien parents (the people who are supposed to be held responsible for violating America's laws).

I urge you to reconsider your support for the DREAM Act amnesty. The Congress has yet to take any meaningful action to protect American jobs and a massive amnesty will not help America's more than 12 million unemployed.

    Unable to comprehend your actions,

    XXXXXXXXXX

Urge your Congressman to Oppose the DREAM Act Amnesty!

    Sen. Bill Nelson
    SH-716, United States Senate
    Washington, DC 20510

    Dear Senator Nelson:

I have found some of your Congressional actions regarding amnesty to be disheartening. However, you will soon have a chance to atone for your past actions by opposing the anti-American worker DREAM Act amnesty. This bill will help only illegal aliens and will seriously harm millions of Americans (both employed and unemployed).

The DREAM Act is not a small amnesty for a select group of individuals. In fact, it allows illegal "teens" (i.e., anyone under 30) to petition for their parents, leading eventually to their aunts, uncles, grandparents, and cousins, to come to the United States.

In 2007, the big argument for this amnesty is that it is for teenagers who are here illegally because their parents broke the law. Nonetheless, the argument is that the teenagers should not be punished for the crimes of their parents.

However, as soon as DREAM amnesty citizens are over 21, they can bring in their parents, who broke the law to get them into the country in the first place, back into the U.S. (or to keep them here legally after years of avoiding deportation). The chief criminals will be rewarded after all. And due to chain migration, the amnestied "teens" can petition for their aunts, uncles, cousins and grandparents to get permanent U.S. residency as well.

This a back-door amnesty for the parents of these illegal "teens," and a chain migration nightmare for the country.

The end result of this amnesty and chain migration nightmare would be that millions of unemployed Americans would be permanently unemployed. The DREAM Act is not a small amnesty; it is a massive amnesty. While you have supported illegal aliens over unemployed Americans in the past, will you really do so again? Please consider the ramifications of your past actions -- if you do so, I am sure you will see the error of your ways and oppose the DREAM Act amnesty (I will be watching your actions closely, just to be safe).

    Unable to comprehend your actions,

    XXXXXXXX

Scold your Pro-Amnesty Congressman for Harming Disabled Americans

    Sen. Bill Nelson
    SH-716, United States Senate
    Washington, DC 20510

    Dear Senator Nelson:

Your support for amnesty at times throughout your congressional career is troubling. Don't you realize your support for amnesty harms disabled Americans?

At times in the past you have shown a willingness to stand up for the interests of illegal aliens and their unscrupulous employers over the rights of less-educated Americans. There are more than 12 million unemployed Americans, but yet 7.7 million illegal aliens have jobs. This is unconscionable and your previous stance on illegal immigration is partially to blame.

While the current economic situation has made life tough for all Americans, it has been particularly merciless toward disabled Americans. The Labor Department's Office of Disability Employment Policy released the first unemployment data on Americans with disabilities and the numbers are startling and disheartening: 13.2% of disabled Americans are unemployed -- a number 59% higher than the national average.

Hopefully the very fact that 13.2% of disabled Americans are unemployed will encourage you to rethink your position on amnesty. Any amnesty would likely keep many of these unemployed disabled Americans from ever finding a job, thereby negating their dreams of obtaining employment under the Americans with Disabilities Act.

I urge you to support legislation that helps unemployed Americans, not harm them. Tens of millions of unemployed Americans are depending on you -- a disproportionate number of whom are disabled.
