CA Alert! "California Dream Act" passes Assembly - Tell Senate to vote NO!

Even as Californians struggle during this recession, and even as the state is poised on the brink of financial collapse, the Assembly voted to give scarce financial aid dollars to illegal alien students. AB 130, by Assemblymember Gil Cedillo, passed by a 48-26 vote and now goes to the Senate.

This "California Dream Act" amnesty would enable illegal aliens to receive financial aid at state colleges and universities and would allow community colleges to waive fees for low-income illegal aliens.

The legislation would penalize students who are citizens or legal immigrants by reducing the financial aid available to them and further blur the lines between those who are here legally and those who broke our immigration laws. While Governor Schwarzenegger vetoed similar measures, Governor Brown has indicated he supports them.

ACTION NEEDED
