INFORMATION ALERT! President Bush commutes the sentences of Agents Compean and Ramos!

On his last full day in office, President Bush commuted the sentences of former Border Patrol agents Jose Alonso Compean and Ignacio Ramos. They had been sentenced to 12 and 11 years in prison, respectively, after being found guilty of crimes related to the shooting of an illegal alien drug-smuggler they were trying to apprehend.

Lawmakers from both parties pleaded with Bush to grant them clemency. Activists such as you made it happen. Thank you.
