Americans are waking up to the threat of uncontrolled mass immigration. The illegal immigration lobby has overplayed their hand. They relied upon a sympathetic media to portray mass demonstrations by illegal aliens as a good thing.

There's just one problem with that strategy - not everyone got the message, as you can see. When illegal alien teenagers ditch school for a week, shut down major freeways, and hoist the Mexican flag at their school, people notice. And, they get angry!

Where was the Border Patrol during these marches? The Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents? The same place they'll be if the Bush guest worker amnesty passes - ordered to stand down, watching from the sidelines, unable to help.

Americans are fed up with people who crash the borders, then show up demanding better treatment than our fellow citizens. If there's one common element among these street protests, it's the arrogance and the condescension of the marchers that is turning off Americans who see the reality behind the happy open-borders rhetoric.
