    PRO-BORDER SECURITY AND ANTI-AMNESTY PROTEST ON MONDAY 8TH IN FORT LAUDERDALE - UPDATE

    Here is some last minute information including directions.

    The area is an upscale residential area. The Citgo station is located within an upscale strip mall. No doubt parking will be difficult so earlier than 4 PM the better. It is doubtful Las Olas Blvd will be closed so it is likely we will wave our signs on the sidewalks along Las Olas Blvd.

    The RainForest Action Network will also be meeting at the Citgo station for a protest so gather just to the West of the station. President Bush will have the $2K - $4K fund-raiser at on the finger isle on the South side of Las Olas, shown as SE 25th Ave.

    The fund-raiser is in support of E Clay Shaw who has a EXCELLENT www.betterimmigration.com immigration voting record of: Career A-

    There may be some signage available but try to bring your own highlighting Border Security NOW, No AMNESTY, or your own simple, readable message.

    Directions from I95 and Broward Blvd:

    1: Start out going EAST on W BROWARD BLVD / FL-842 E toward SW 46TH AVE. (4.3 miles)

    2: Turn RIGHT onto SE 3RD AVE / FL-842. (0.2 miles)

    3: Turn LEFT onto E LAS OLAS BLVD / FL-842 E. (1.6 miles)

    4: End at Las Olas Citgo Svc Station

    FLIMEN is organizing a protest for Border Security and against President Bush's AMNESTY during his upcoming visit to Fort Lauderdale.

    President George Bush will be attending a fundraiser for Republican Congressman Clay Shaw on Monday, May 8th evening at the home of Monica and Mike Maroone, 909 Poinciana Drive, Fort Lauderdale, Florida.

    Let our voices be heard in response!!

    We want secure borders NOW, employer sanctions NOW and no AMNESTY.

    There will be another message with additional details emailed to you prior to the protest.

    WASHINGTON  President Bush is traveling to Florida next week to remind seniors to sign up for the Medicare prescription drug program before the May 15 deadline.

    On Tuesday, Bush will visit the Broward Aging Network Conference at the Broward Community College North Campus in Coconut Creek, Fla.

    He will make remarks on the Medicare prescription drug benefit in Sun City Center, Fla., a large retirement community that is home to 16,000 residents.

    On Wednesday, the president will host a conversation on the Medicare prescription drug benefit in Orlando, and then return to Washington.

    Before his Medicare events, Bush will be in Fort Lauderdale, Fla., on Monday to attend a reception for Rep. Clay Shaw, R-Fla. Shaw, who is seeking his 14th term, is being challenged by state Sen. Ron Klein, a Democrat.

    Do not vote for Party this year, vote for America and American workers!
