Support Needed for Palm Bay Ordinance
The city of Palm Bay, Florida has under consideration an ordinance prohibiting the hiring of "undocumented or illegal labor" by contractors, subcontractors or those with occupational licenses. This is a significant event which signals that immigration laws can and will be enforced by non-federal governmental entities.
The first hearing will be on Thursday, July 20, 2006 at 7:00 PM in Palm Bay, Florida (just South of Melborne). Please attend if you can. Supporters are encouraged to voice a brief message of support. Also please forward to those in the following counties who might be interested:
Brevard
Indian River
Osceola
Volusia
The 2nd and Final Hearing will be held on either August 3rd or 17th so please attend that meeting as well.
