We would have offered these to you when the new Congress was sworn in on Jan. 5 but we just haven't been able to get all the new fax numbers and enter them into our system until yesterday.

It is more than past time for all the new Members of Congress to learn just how important immigration reductions are to the voters in their Districts and states.

FAX YOUR REPRESENTATIVE TO CO-SPONSOR THE NEW BILL TO END BIRTHRIGHT CITIZENSHIP FOR BIRTHS TO ILLEGAL ALIENS & TOURISTS

Congressman Steve King has already introduced a bill to grant U.S. citizenship only to babies who have at least one parent who is a citizen or a legal permanent immigrant.

That gives all of you something to really rally behind at the very beginning of this Congress.

Find the fax to send on your Action Board to urge your U.S. Representative to co-sponsor this sensible bill that would merely put the U.S. on the same basis as most nations of the world.

Those of you in about three dozen Districts will find a Thank You fax to send because your Representative ALREADY has signed up on the bill.

HOLD FRESHMEN TO THEIR PROMISES

Our Fax Team has provided you multiple draft texts to choose, use and modify that remind the new Members of the immigration promises they made during their campaigns.

Lucky for you, the NumbersUSA staff kept track of every promise.

Many of you have freshmen Representatives who managed to get through the campaign without making any immigration promises. We have a different kind of fax message to send to them.

This is great news, though: I asked my staff to create a fax for all the new Members of Congress who campaigned in favor of an amnesty or more immigration. They came back to me and reminded me that not a single one of the newly elected Members actually campaigned on a promise of MORE immigration.

Oh, I'm sure that a lot of the ones who didn't say anything are real potentials for bad immigration action. But how great is it that none of the freshmen will be pushed to fulfill a campaign promise to increase foreign worker competition against our unemployed Americans!

FAX PRES. OBAMA TO URGE VIGOROUS ENFORCEMENT OF IMMIGRATION LAWS

Let's have a steady stream of faxes going into the White House reminding staffers EVERY DAY that Americans expect the President to fulfill his oath of office to carry out the laws of the land.

Your pressure these last two years has brought wonderful results over what otherwise would have happened.

We know that Pres. Obama -- just like Pres. Bush before him -- wants all illegal aliens in this country to be able to vote and to keep their jobs permanently. But because of the constant pressure that you and other Americans put on the White House the last two years, the President has angered open-borders groups in many ways, including:

mandating that all federal contractors use E-Verify to keep illegal aliens from getting jobs paid by the federal government

at least maintaining the modest level of deportations during the end of Pres. Bush's term.

moving forward with the secure communities program and resisting efforts to stop the 287(g) program.

Yes, new House Judiciary Chairman Lamar Smith (R-Texas) makes a strong case that Pres. Obama has greatly reduced immigration enforcement.

But enforcement has not gone close to zero. The fact that Pres. Obama has allowed/ordered as much enforcement as he has is a testament to the power of your contituency pressure. With Lamar Smith's committee breathing down their necks this year, I think your faxing and phoning can ensure a much higher level of enforcement from the Department of Homeland Security folks.

I sent the fax with the text edited to include the info that the author of the citizenship clause, Sen. Jacob Howard of Michigan, specifically excluded foreigners and aliens.
