CAPS TV Campaign: American Workers Losing Jobs

We all know we aren't just talking about legal immigrants when we refer to the cheap labor lobby. And with Americans out of work right now we don't need more legal foreign workers either. See the video at the link:

CAPS and its allies in the Coalition for the Future American Worker have launched a national TV campaign calling attention to the continued pandering of government to the cheap labor lobby. Despite the faux hand wringing about job losses, U.S. workers continue to be laid off while Congress still pushes for ever more work visas that will bring in 1.5 million legal, foreign workers a year to take American jobs.

The TV commercial, airing on various networks, questions the logic and fairness of continuing to allow millions of foreign workers to take so many well paying positions at a time when more than 11 million Americans are looking for work. The spot depicts a middle aged man packing his personal belongings in a box and boarding an elevator. As the elevator continues descending, more newly unemployed workers from many different occupations enter the elevator with their own boxes of belongings to illustrate the extent of the jobs problem and the fact that no group is unaffected. The spot ends with a question, "Could your job be next?" The question is followed by dozens of workers filing out of the building "going home to give their families the bad news."

"This is a scene that is actually being played out in America thousands of times a day," CAPS President, Diana Hull, said. "The people in the very building in which we filmed the commercial actually had panic in their eyes because they have seen this scenario playing out too often lately in their workplaces."

The coalition's primary goal is to educate by calling attention to the disconnect between American immigration policy and the reality of the economic crisis and jobs situation. Hull said, "This policy of importing millions of workers at a time of economic constriction and widespread loss of available jobs to replace those that are lost to American workers defies logic and common sense, let alone fairness. With 11 million Americans unable to find work, our government continues to bring in more foreign workers."

CAPS and its associates offer a welcome suggestion to the new administration's alleged jobs creation plan. "President Obama and his team estimate they can create 2 million jobs over the next two years by spending a trillion dollars of taxpayer money," Hull said. "But by severely limiting the flow of foreign workers at this critical time, we can save over 2 million American jobs for American workers without spending a dime."

Did the spot show anyone checking the IDs of the new replacements boarding the elevator at the ground floor?
One man's terrorist is another man's undocumented worker.

Unless we enforce laws against illegal aliens today,
tomorrow WE may wake up as illegals.

The last word: illegal aliens are ILLEGAL!

Mr. Hull must have misunderstood Mr. Obama. When he estimated a trillion taxpayer dollars could create 2 million jobs for 2 years (that's $250,000 a year each), Mr. Obama didn't say anything about "2 million American jobs."
