    2ND EHRLICH -O'MALLEY DEBATE

Today's Washington Post hosted debate between former Gov Bob Ehrlich and current Gov Martin O'Malley was a barn burner. And once again, Ehrlich nailed O'Malley to the wall for his blatant disrespect of our American culture, English language, values and the rule of law. Brian Murphy supporters, Bob Ehrlich has again put it all on the line in opposing illegal immigration and the hate filled group CASA of Maryland!

It started with a simple question from the moderator concerning "aid to groups that harbor illegal aliens". "Would you or would you not end funding for such groups if proven they supported illegals "?

When Ehrlich's responded, he did so with a barrage of facts and figures that left O'Malley totally defenseless and numb.

He nailed O'Malley for "celebrating the new CASA headquarters in PG County", all the while knowing that CASA harbors Hispanic illegal aliens and distributes booklets telling illegals how to avoid law enforcement. Ehrlich called CASA a gross example of lawlessness and wasted Maryland tax dollars, and stated he would terminate all funding for CASA.

He also ridiculed O'Malley for allowing illegal aliens to keep their drivers' licenses for 5 years, jeopardizing the safety of Maryland citizens. Lastly, he again stated for the record that illegals will never get In-State tuition if he is elected Governor again.

The question left O'Malley dead in his tracks.

When O'Malley finally opened his mouth, the hate and disrespect for the citizens of Maryland was quite obvious. He truly had no answer but instead threw out terms like, "Comprehensive Immigration Reform", "its a Federal Issue", ""Nativitism is on the rise in Maryland". O'Malley even tossed out the meaningless "New Americans" line again when describing illegal aliens, and then tried to accuse Ehrlich of "not wanting to help poor starving immigrants in need of medical assistance".

Ehrlich counting the bogus "New Americans" line by saying "so if someone breaks into my house, are they a new family member"?

We all knew that O'Malley was in the pocket of the lawless CASA of Maryland organization, but I never realized how deep that bond with Gustavo Torres, Hugo Chavez, La Raza and the hundreds of thousands of Hispanic illegal aliens in Maryland extended. In the end, O'Malley never actually answered the question about cutting off funds from lawless groups that support illegals.

I would hope that if Ehrlich is elected again that he would also terminate the Executive Order put in place by O'Malley that created Maryland's "New Americans" bureaucracy. Its a drain on the taxpayers and it fully overlaps federal programs already in place.

CASA E-MAIL CONFIRMS EHRLICH DEBATE STATEMENTS - O'MALLEY LEFT HUNG OUT TO DRY BY GUSTAVO TORRES

CASA leader Gustavo Torres sent out an e-mail shortly after the debate today. Packaged as a CASA fundraiser, it attacks the Maryland Republican Party and highlights CASA's lawless activities in support of illegal aliens. Here is a portion of the message:

"The message of Audrey Scott, the head of Maryland's GOP to supporters on July 16th:

"It is no surprise that Maryland is known as a sanctuary state for illegal immigration.... Casa de Maryland is the primary advocate and defender of establishing "rights of citizenship" for illegal immigrants in Maryland."

The Maryland Republican Party is right about one thing - CASA is the state's leading advocate fighting for social justice - ensuring everyone has access to resources and opportunities, regardless of skin color, country of origin, or economic or immigration status. That's why we fight for comprehensive immigration reform, and campaigns including passing in-state tuition for immigrant kids in Maryland."

Well i sure love a good fight and it appears that Ehrlich gave a good one to O' Malley. time to cut funding off to these groups like LaRaza and MALDEF and CASA.

Ehrlich is going down--I can't post the graphics here: Ehrlich is at 41 and O'Malley 49.3

    http://www.realclearpolitics.com/epolls ... -1121.html

BUT, Ehrlich wasn't posting any ads in my area until just this week, while O'Malley was blasting him. He or his supporters are now going after O'Malley, though the ads could be better. Ehrlich was focusing on O'Malley's stronghold in Baltimore, and ignoring Prince George's county. I think he's waking up to anger about illegals. If he taps black anger (PG is majority black) as they are hard hit by IAs, IMO his numbers will have a big improvement.

O'Malley raised taxes 3 times. Raising the income tax also raised the county piggy back tax, which is a percentage of the state tax. That's two. Then he raised the sales tax, making MD third highest taxing state in the country, I hear. Cutting benefits and services to illegals would make a difference. See next post (I like to keep post short if possible)

Maryland Study Reveals Staggering Increase of Illegal Immigration Costs and Voter Dissatisfaction

Separate Research Examines Impact on Prince George's County Schools

WASHINGTON, Nov. 30 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Simultaneous studies, released this week by the Federation for American Immigration Reform (FAIR), document the true costs of illegal immigration in Maryland and demonstrate strong voter objections to the burdens placed on them by illegal immigration. The price tag associated with providing education, health care and incarceration of criminal illegal aliens is at least $1.3 billion a year, finds The Costs of Illegal Immigration to Marylanders. The impact is clearly recognized by Maryland voters. A new Pulse Opinion Research poll of 1,000 likely voters across the state found that, by a large margin, Marylanders believe that illegal immigration is harming their state.

The Costs of Illegal Immigration to Marylanders found that taxpayers spend:

•$1.1 billion a year to educate illegal immigrant children and the U.S. born children of illegal immigrants.
•$167 million a year on unreimbursed health care for illegal aliens.
•$29 million a year to incarcerate criminal illegal aliens.
•The total represents an annual cost to each of Maryland's native-born headed households of $625.
The cost study is based on an estimate that the illegal alien population in Maryland is now 250,000 persons. The illegal alien population of Maryland has grown exponentially during this decade, nearly quadrupling since 2000.

In a separate report English Learners and Immigration: A Case Study in Prince George's County, Maryland, FAIR examines the impact of mass immigration in local schools in Prince George's County. Because of large-scale legal and illegal immigration, the county has seen its non-English proficient student population grow from 7,064 in 2004 to 13,825 today. Programs to teach immigrant students English cost the county more than $66 million a year.

The Pulse Opinion Research poll found that:

•73% of Maryland voters say illegal immigration has a negative impact on the state. Only 20% believe it has a positive impact on Maryland.
•77% of Maryland voters believe illegal aliens have a negative impact on the state budget, versus only 15% who believe their impact is positive.
•65% of Maryland voters believe that illegal immigration harms the state's schools. Only 18% believe illegal immigration has had a beneficial effect on education.
•55% believe illegal immigration should be reduced through better enforcement of immigration laws. Only 36% of Maryland voters favor amnesty or legalization for current illegal aliens.
"Voters in Maryland, like voters everywhere, want their elected officials in Washington and Annapolis to protect their interests, their jobs, and their tax dollars from the impact of mass illegal immigration," said Dan Stein, President of the Federation for American Immigration Reform (FAIR). "The failure of government at all levels to institute and enforce sensible immigration policies is costing Marylanders jobs, billions in tax dollars, and their children the opportunity to get the quality education they need and deserve. At a time when state lawmakers are slashing budgets, spending on illegal immigrants in Maryland continues to rise over the strong objection of voters."

    About FAIR

Founded in 1979, FAIR is the country's largest immigration reform group. With over 250,000 members nationwide, FAIR fights for immigration policies that serve national interests, not special interests. FAIR believes that immigration reform must enhance national security, improve the economy, protect jobs, preserve our environment, and establish a rule of law that is recognized and enforced.

Our undefended border keeps Mexican unemployment low...while our own rises to Depression levels
    October 4th, 2010 12:48 am ET
By Dave Gibson, Immigration Reform Examiner

For several years, Mexico has been solving their own unemployment problem by sending their jobless citizens to the United States. The result has been a low, steady rate of unemployment in Mexico since 2000. Of course, the unimpeded flow of cheap labor headed north, has had a disastrous effect on U.S. workers.

    Consider the following facts:

-Between 1991-1999, Mexico had an average unemployment rate of 3.7 percent. Now, as economies around the world are falling apart and experiencing record joblessness, Mexico still has a relatively low unemployment rate of 5.5 percent (July 2010).
-While the U.S. currently has an anemic GDP (Growth Domestic Product) rate of 1.6 percent (September 2010), Mexico has a GDP rate of 3.2 percent (July 2010).

-As millions of illegal aliens entered this country from Mexico annually, the rate of U.S. unemployment has continued to rise, and now stands nearly double the average rate in 1995 of 5.5 percent.

In Feb. 2009, the financial institution Merrill Lynch announced that the nation's actual unemployment rate had reached 13.9 percent. A year later, that number had risen to 17.3 percent. This figure represents Americans who have been laid off from full-time positions and are now working part-time, as well as those who have simply stopped looking for work, and workers whose unemployment benefits have run out.

The official unemployment figure given monthly by the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics is now listed at 9.7 percent (September 2010), but represents only those Americans currently receiving unemployment checks, and is not truly indicative of the dire employment situation now facing the U.S.

The nation's actual unemployment rate is now close to 18 percent.

A recent study conducted by the Chicago Urban League and the Alternative Schools Network showed the tremendous impact illegal aliens are having on the employment levels of low-skilled American workers, particularly for young workers.

The study revealed a rather shocking revelation, in that, the unemployment rate among teens and young adults is soaring to unprecedented level, while millions of illegal aliens continue to hold jobs.

Rep. Lamar Smith (R-TX) and Rep. Gary Miller (R-CA) released the following joint statement on the study's findings:

"During the course of the 2007-2009 recession, the employment rate of the nation's teens fell steeply to 26.2% by October-November 2009, setting new record lows each year. No other age group has experienced employment declines of this magnitude in the current recession. Young adults 20-24 years old in both Illinois and the nation also have been adversely affected by the deterioration in labor market developments in the state and nation in recent years, especially men, Blacks and Hispanics, and non-college graduates."

Rep. Smith went on to say: "The fact is that illegal immigrants take jobs from American workers, particularly poor and disadvantaged citizens and legal immigrants. The best outcome for low-skilled citizen and legal immigrant workers is the removal of the illegal immigrant population. The very jobs that illegal immigrants occupy rightfully belong to out of work citizens and legal immigrants."

"At home in California, almost weekly I hear from my constituents that illegal immigration is exacerbating the unemployment crisis."

Congressmen Smith and Miller have recently formed the Reclaim American Jobs Caucus.

In early 2010, the California Immigrant Policy Center released a study revealing that 84 percent of Latino and Asian immigrant men were employed, as compared to 78 percent of American men of Latino and Asian descent. The report also found that 12 percent of Latino and Asian immigrants are actually self-employed, as opposed to 8 percent of their U.S.-born counterparts.

In short, the study conducted by the University of Southern California's Program for Environmental and Regional Equity, found that currently, immigrants (both legal and illegal) are as a group, more likely to have a job than are American workers.

These studies provided further proof for what many of us have been saying for years...That contrary to what open borders politicians such as Barack Obama want us to believe, illegal aliens are taking jobs away from American citizens.

In 1931, the second full year of the Great Depression, the average rate of unemployment was 16.3 percent, with U.S. unemployment peaking at 25 percent in 1933. We now sit in between those two disastrous figures, with an ever-worsening economy.

With U.S. unemployment now at depression levels, we simply can no longer tolerate an illegal alien population numbering in the tens of millions.

This problem cannot be fixed with more useless so-called Stimulus bills which do nothing more than increase the national debt. Nor, do American workers need handouts, we simply need jobs, and those jobs will not be forthcoming as long as illegal aliens are doing them.

For far too many years, Mexico has been allowed to dump their economic problems on the United States, and instead of being punished, they have been rewarded with one-sided trade policies such as NAFTA as well as even a provision in the USA Patriot ACT which dictates that U.S. banks accept their Matricula Consular cards as identification for the millions of Mexican nationals living illegally in this country. Illegal aliens use the cards to secure loans and bank accounts, even though Mexican banks consider the cards to be unacceptable forms of i.d.

While the U.S. will see record foreclosures, repossessions and bankruptcies this year, illegal aliens will send more than $20 billion back to Mexico in ill-gotten wages.

Illegal immigration is no longer a political issue, but one which threatens our national survival
