GROUPS UNITE TO BUILD BORDER FENCE

COALITION PRESSES U.S. GOVERNMENT TO SECURE THE BORDER





Campo, CA – Saturday, June 14, 2008 (Flag Day)

Save Our State & Mountain Minutemen will dedicate a long section of border fence that they encouraged our government to build. The 40 mile stretch of border between Jacumba & Tecate is rugged terrain known for its porous fencing and easy access to a major American highway. For this reason, temendous amounts of drugs and illegal aliens have been crossing through the region for years.



The Mountain Minutemen have maintained on outpost there for over 2 years, working with the Border Patrol to spot alien intruders and have them arrested. Save Our State members have joined in this effort in recent months to help push for a real solution to the smuggling problem rather than merely watching the holes. It is from atop a tall hill less than 2 miles from the Campo Border Patrol Station dubbed “Patriot Pointâ€
