Czar Investigations

"
the President shall nominate, an by and with the Advice and Consent of the Senate, shall appoint Ambassadors, other public Ministers and Consuls, Judges of the Supreme Court, and all other Officers of the United States, whose Appointments are not herein otherwise provided for, and which shall be established by Law."


However, President Barack Obama has been taking advantage of a recent precedent by appointing government officials who are not subject to Senate approval. These "czars" have tremendous power to regulate and control enormous parts of the American economy and government. And, as powerful as these czars are, some of them may not have even been subjected to a basic FBI background check.

This has allowed Obama to appoint several people with radical left-wing views, including one who supported the "9/11 truthers" movement (which believes the Bush administration may have been behind the 9/11 terror attacks on America) and another who called for "white people" to be removed from powerful positions in the media to make way for "people of color" and gays and voiced support for virulently anti-American Venezuelan dictator Hugo Chavez. These czars have responsibilities that include managing America's Middle Eastern policy, "diversity," the auto industry, science, so-called climate change, "safe schools," health care and even the dispersal of funds from the Troubled Asset Relief Program (TARP).

Judicial Watch is concerned that some of these czar appointments raise significant constitutional questions. Our goal is to find out exactly what these czars are up to, what their missions are, and how much taxpayer money and government personnel they have at their disposal. In that effort, Judicial Watch has filed Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) and document requests for all 41 of the czars that Obama has appointed so far. Several of these investigations have already resulted in lawsuits due to the Obama Administration's stonewalling with regard to the release of relevant documents. Judicial Watch has also been key in publicizing the connections some of Obama's czars have had to radical, racist and even communist organizations.

•Obama’s Executive “Pay Czarâ€

This issue goes straight to the heart of the reason why our government is out of control . I have heard it so many times when people say, " I do not vote or it will do no good." This is the primary reason. Established within the Constitution are the three branches of government.

Simplified;
Executive Branch: Headed by the president. The president carries out federal laws and recommends new ones, directs national defense and foreign policy, and performs ceremonial duties. Powers include directing government, commanding the Armed Forces, dealing with international powers, acting as chief law enforcement officer, and vetoing laws.

Legislative Branch: Headed by Congress, which includes the House of Representatives and the Senate. The main task of these two bodies is to make the laws. Its powers include passing laws, originating spending bills (House), impeaching officials (Senate), and approving treaties (Senate).

Judicial Branch: Headed by the Supreme Court. Its powers include interpreting the Constitution, reviewing laws, and deciding cases involving states' rights.


Each and every one of these so called " Czars" apparently exercise powers outside of the parameters outlined within the Constitution. As stated in the definition of the power granted the Executive Branch, the President upholds and enforces existing laws and suggests new laws or legislation. No where does it even suggest he has the enumerated power to actually make a law or enact any law not passed by the Legislative branch. Countless thousands of pages of regulations and rules are passed by these czars, and governmental agencies and departments every year that have the effect of becoming law without any oversight of input by the people or of Congress itself.
This in effect is Legislation without representation. As well the Judicial Branch also seems to have exceeded it's reach from simply determining whether or not a particular law meets Constitutional muster, to shaping and forming the course and nature of those laws. Fees and taxes imposed by these governmental agencies also have the effect of imposing taxes upon Citizens without their consent. I would have to agree to a point with those who claim their voice will make no difference. The reason being, that those people who they have elected to represent their interests have had their own voices silenced. The vast majority of law is now drafted by think tanks and lobbyists , passed into law and instituted through these czars appointed by the President to carry out his personal agendas and ideology. The Executive Branch has , over the years made an end run around the Constitutional limits imposed, and taken over the duties of the Legislative Branch. The necessary and proper clause of the Constitution has been the vehicle behind the creation of every one of these departments and agencies . The Interstate Commerce Clause has equally been abused to justify basic intrusion and particularly taxation in areas that should be under the purview of the States under the Tenth Amendment. Much of the blame falls on the Judicial Branch for this failure. The creation and proliferation of this vast governmental Bureaucracy has all been done under the nose of the very branch entrusted to prevent subversion of the principles behind the formation and structure of our Republic to begin with.
Much of the blame for what has happened falls squarely on the shoulders of the American people themselves.
