Numbers USA: Submit Immigration Questions for GOP Presid

Use YouTube to Influence Questions for Thursday Night's GOP Presidential Debate!

    Dear Activist,

We continue to roll through the Presidential primary season with another debate this week, being hosted in Orlando, FL. Fox News moderator Bret Baier will again lead a crew of anchors and journalists for the first time since the Ames, IA debate preceding the Iowa Straw Poll.

Fox News is teaming up with YouTube/Google to solicit questions from the national audience (thats YOU)! They have set up an extremely interactive channel and Ive never seen like it! Its truly futuristic and may usher in a new era for engaging the public in these debates.

    Go to http://www.youtube.com/foxnews

Once you are on the home screen, you have two main options (with a lot of other frills).

1.) You can ask a question! The blue bar has two options for this either you can ask one by typing one in, or you can film a short video and post it.

2.) You can VOTE on the questions that have already been posted! Once you click on the button that says: vote there will be an additional pull-down menu where there is a specific section just for immigration. Use the tabs especially to vote on the video questions although all of them are worth a vote.

Please spend as much time as you can voting on the questions so that we can hear the candidates address new specifics on immigration issues.

If you need ideas for questions you can ask, here are a few:

1.) Are you familiar with civil rights leader Barbara Jordans Commission and its recommendations to reduce legal immigration? USPS just issued a stamp with her on it.

2.) In an information-age economy where everything is becoming less labor-intensive, why should we import immigrant labor to the tune of 1 million green cards per year AND hundreds of thousands of temporary work visas?

3.) House Judiciary Committee Chairman Lamar Smith has a bill to make E-Verify mandatory nationwide. It will open up seven million jobs for legal immigrants and citizens. Would all candidates sign it into law if they were President?

4.) How much legal immigration is too much? What should the number of immigrants be per year in a time of high unemployment?

5.) Will you agree to end chain migration and the visa lottery?

Let me know if you have any questions: stateaction2011@numbersusa.com

    Thanks!
