Thread: Oregon - Obama's Model for Socialism and High Taxes

With the Governor's signature on these two bills, Oregon earns the honor of having the second highest tax burden in the world. Yes, I said world. According to The Wall Steet Journal, the per capita tax burden for Oregonians puts us second in the world to Denmark. Taxes higher than New York, California and Mass. Think about this, Oregon has no sales tax. The legislature has tried for years to get a sales tax so we can take first place.

Think about this too, Oregon has the second highest unemployment in the country. This means the burden is left to those of us still working. We also have the joy of feeding, clothing and providing Cadillac services to a growing population of illegal aliens. Oh, and we have universal health care here to and it's going broke.

The governor and legislature has so thoroughly fouled this place up that if we successfully roll back these tax increses, we'll likely end up like California. If Obama is looking for a model of how to screw up the entire country with his socialist plans, all he has to do is look at Oregon.

The 2009 Oregon Legislature refused to address the issue of illegal immigration. The result is that Oregon taxpayers will continue to be forced to pay for public services for illegal aliens and citizens will have to compete for jobs against people who have no legal right to be here. In addition senior citizens will experience reduced public services and higher taxes and American school children will have school programs cut in order to accommodate the children of illegal aliens.

Until the Oregon Legislature passes a bill requiring all companies to sign up for the federal E-Verify Program we will oppose any tax increase.

OFIR PAC urges everyone to access the website of Americans for Prosperity Oregon (See below), and down load the on-line referendum’s that will repeal the two huge tax increases passed by the 2009 Oregon Legislature.

Any day now Sen. Schumer is going to give the Gov. of Oregon some 'Stimulus Millions' for the welfare children like it's being done here in NY.

I'm guessing it will be a nationwide program.

Politics here in NY are so corrupt that 15 to 20% of the citizens virtually RULE the rest. Of course even those people are probably ruled by just 1% who are the top elites. I was amazed that Spitzer wasn't sucsessful in giving DLs to IAs.
