Races to Watch... Candidates to Support
Dear Friend,
We just posted list of two dozen terrific candidates we are supporting on our website http://www.teamamericapac.org/ and we'll be adding more next week. We have many really great candidates but Team America must focus on the close and winnable ones where your money will have the most impact.
Let me tell you the three of the races we are looking at targeting:
LOU BARLETTA: An American hero.
As mayor of Hazelton, PA, a small town being run over by illegal immigration, Lou enacted one of the toughest immigration laws on the books. The national media, the ACLU, MALDEF, and the usual suspects all descended upon Hazelton, but he stood his ground and saved his town.
Lou Barletta is now taking his fight to Congress. He is running against the pro-amnesty Democratic incumbent, Paul Kanjorski, who has no less than an F- for amnesty from Numbers USA. What a victory this will be -Barletta for Kanjorski-it doesn't get better and that is why Team America will be doing everything possible to see Lou wins in November!
ROBIN HAYES NC-8: One of our finest Congressmen.
Robin, from North Carolina's eighth district, is one of our most dedicated leaders in Congress. According to Numbers USA, he has the third best rating of all 435 Congressmen. He has voted consistently to end birthright citizenship, secure our borders, and oppose amnesty.
He's in trouble. In 2006, he fended off challenger Larry Kisser by just 329 votes. Kissell is running again, and this time the Democratic Party is putting all their might to take down Hayes. They have purchased 1.7 million dollars in ads to defeat Hayes. We can't let them take out one of our best.
JAY LOVE (AL-1): Our Best Open Seat Opportunity
With Congressman Terry Everett leaving office, the voters have an opportunity to get a real fighter into Congress. Republican nominee Jay Love has made it clear that stopping illegal immigration is on the top of his priority list. He supports building a wall, cracking down on employers, ending birthright citizenship and chain migration, and opposes amnesty under any name.
His opponent Bobbi Bright is like a lot of Democrats running in conservative districts. He'll give a good talk about being tough on immigration, but when you scratch the surface, he's not much better than Ted Kennedy. According to the Montgomery Advertiser, "You won't hear him talking about building a wall at the Mexico border," but he did tell them "If you're illegal, you need to get legal ... and we'll help you in whatever way we possibly we can. We'll even help you find a job." I don't have to tell you what that means! We need Jay in Congress, not another "conservative" Democrat who will vote for amnesty.
Political observers are calling this one of the tightest races in the country, so we need to give Jay all the support we can.
................
It's just 46 days until the election, so we need to help these candidates immediately! If you'd like your contribution to go to one of these candidates in particular, let us know in the comment box and 100% of your donation will go directly to their campaign. I know times are tight, but please try to give what you can.
Thanks for all you're doing.
