Tourism is a major source of revenue for the state of Tennessee

Dear Editor:

The following letter has been sent to Tennessee Governor Bill Haslam:

Gov. Bill Haslam
First Floor, State Capitol
Nashville, TN 37243

Via: Mr. David Smith
Media Contact
Fax 1-615-741-1416

Governor Haslam:

I contacted the Tennessee Governor’s office about the lawless situation in Monroe County, TN. That was when your predecessor was in office. I was blown off and my comments were not kindly received. I have been following the fiasco with LCDR Fitzpatrick for a long time. He, obviously, was not the only person in Monroe County to be railroaded and denied of their civil and constitutional rights.

The letter by Sharon Rondeau of The Post & Email is both factually accurate and is extremely damming for the State of Tennessee.

I also contacted your tourist office and explained that I will not travel into or through the state until law and order is restored. I will push this concept with as many RV travelers as I can.

Do you have the courage to do the right thing?

Robert H. Cipperly, LCDR USN (Ret.), CIA (Ret.)
